I must admit this game is technically impressive, anyway I can't say I agree with most of your choices when you programmed this game:
1) Why can't I check the "whole" wave list "before" entering a level instead of just giving an advice on the element? There are a good amount of random levels where I'd love to pick my heroes better.
2) Why are the golds and the exp given every time? Serously that makes this game a grindfeast; repeating the same level over and over. Gemcraft 0 manages this feature much better rewarding the player just basing on the increment of the level score.

This game is far to easy... Get all 4 items that allow you to change your Skill and ALWAYS use the third hero (has Trainee and Archmage), invest in Magic and Elemental. You should be destroying everything... My Trainee's were doing over 300 damage on enemies weak to they're element... Kinda lame >.>

This game has everything!
I thought the last Protector game was good and then you go and encorporate all possible RPG elements into it :) 5/5

It's not just you mittens. I think Failure at the beginning is a key factor to this game. The cool thing about the protector series is it's almost a puzzle getting the right mix of units in a map. I'm hoping that normal quests continually pop up. because I have failed a few I'd like another crack at.

Well, nice, and I didn't expect it. Significantly more difficult than the second and the third ones. I'm having difficulties with completing non-storyline quests currently. But the complexity, creativity and non-linearity of the game is amazing. Many thanks to the developer!

@roflcopterx1 Go to the Hero Tab on the left and once you click on a Hero, at the bottom will be your items you can equip to a Hero.
Side note, is there any way to remove a Unit after you place it?

maybe you could add a stat box when you mouse over the units to see its basic attacks because i want to know the difference between some advanced units like the gladiator vs. knight vs. paladin. please plus this comment so we can get some where

I think game is too complex and there are too much skills and items to deal with. Gameplay is too hard at the beginning and the game should guide me for the first level, how to play best. The quest places should be arranged on a path, because it will be easier to see, which levels i have already played and how difficult they are. I liked the third part of this game much more

The stats/equipment/herostats/heroArmy/3hero system is amazingly cool and makes for a lot of strategy. Unfortunately, there are certain types of units that are "best", so all the variety is just a bunch of garbage to hunt through. And unless there is a perfect 3 hero army, sometimes you just have to lose a round to see what types of enemies are in a level, then start over with the best 3 heros. Trial & error is not fun when the game is so slow. Also finding protectomon by repeating story line levels is dumb because the level does not change, so I just repeat the same thing 3-5 times.. I'm watchin youtube while playing.

After I close the window and open it again, I lose all of my progress... Does anybody has the same issue? It only happens with this game!

it may just be me but for a flash game, its very slow, especially when its enticing you to buy items that cost 5k gold when you start with 100 and basically get 50-100 g per quest for like 5 or 6 levels. i am not saying the game is terrible, i'm just saying that i dont think i have the patience to become at least moderately powerful in this game. therefore im not going to rate it: i don't say "boring. 0/5"

It's really frustrating when you get through three-quarters of the levels only to get caught by a single round with an elemental weakness that you didn't bring and a strength to the recommended element, and then getting smashed and losing.

Is there any use at all for the Mage's and ArchMages in this game at all?? They seem like they are no better then the Trainers and the Wizards.

Popped on Kongregate to relax and what do my wondering eyes see? Protector gave birth to yet another child. Thank you.

Overall this is spectacular. i just have to gripes, one minor, one major. First, the "recommended element" function for missions is quite treacherous. As an example, it reccomended I take energy elements, but in the level a nearly have the enemies were strong against it and none were weak towards is.
Secondly, I find melee to be nearly useless since they cannot affect flying units at all. This means that investing in more than one or two is self defeating as a single flying wave can roll right over you. Short reach is handicap enough. I think melee units should do half damage to flyers, or have some other means of compensating for this glaring weakness.

tyleror I'm the same wth the badges thing. funkenmittens you are not an idiot I did to but to get powerful follow this: keep playing the 1st story one. Win or lose doesn't matter. now go to your heroes secton on the right OR go to stores. if you went to heroes select a hero, now click on a item, now click in a slot. resault: hero is now more powerful. if you went in the shop(it's best to do this after) now click on all your items left. reasault: you have alot of money REAPET

And stop complaining about no sell. In all 4 protectors you can't sell because the maker wants it that way. Use strategy, not complaints.

I've found the best units are mages and watchers. Mages debuff (Makes other units do more damage) and watchers can convert kills into damage. If you use watchers early they can get a massive amount of damage by the end. Both are ranged.

I must be an idiot . . . I seem ridiculously underpowered for all quests past the introductory one, and the first storyline quest. I can only make it past a couple of waves in each subsequent "normal" quest. Any strategy hints or pointers?
