yeah the Flying monsters kill the usefulness of the ground heroes. Maybe if they did less damage or not hit all the time

Improvement - Loot/items - Impossible to manage them. I need to change a hero to Cold or... can never find the item to do this. As you are setting up your Hero you need a spot to put items you want to sell as you go threw them to get rid of them. Rather then finding that item again you didnt want and selling it at the store. As well, need a search function with atributes to find the item you are looking for or want to purchase.

NO the skaran watcher was the best unit! I guess it makes sense that it was to goo, but it is not like this game is mulitplayer. Speed of 9 is a bit to slow though.

For those of you wondering how to hire new heroes, they are available at your base camp. On the map, click on the banner next to a house in the lower left corner.

This game is... disappointing. The strategy has been replaced with grinding. Some of the side missions are impossible to do if you haven't been able to find any heroes of a specific element. And heroes that only have melee units are all but useless on 90% of the missions.
The first 3 Protector games were fantastic.

I'd like the protectopedia to be more precise about the different things ... Like what is consecration ? I don't have a clue there.

just a little suggestion, can you make recently aquired talents glow or something? its hard for me to find out what new ones do because i can never find them :/

Maybe I'm doin' it wrong, but I can't make it halfway through any given level without a storm of flyers killing the level for me...

Very well caried out. The hero/xp mechanic is a really nice addon. A tip: item management needs a lot of work. For instance, adding a sort button to the item list: sort by value, sort by: change element. Sort by: spellpower bonus or specialism bonus etc.
Also: add a 'favorite items for this hero' option. I find I'm switching between the same 5 items or so, would be very useful.
Vote up if you'd like these tips to be added into the game! =)

I was surprised to find out this game was tower defense. I scoffed at it but, bored, decided to give it a try anyways. To my pleasant surprise, this ended up being the most EPIC and HARDCORE tower defense ever.

This should be called kill the parade. Theres just something about a tower defence game with no towers that just aint right. I mean they should fight back.

Brilliant game, so far has kept me hooked, great improvements and to think the first one nearly put me off from playing this

Desperately needs a way to sort out what items you have. For example, by elemental switch, or by highest + to logistics/ swordplay/ etc..

I have loved all of your protector games. However, while the RPG elements added to this one are awesome, they really have taken a lot of the challenge out of the game. I just have one stacked hero that I change the element of whenever appropriate, and she just kills everything. If you can find a way to keep the new changes in while having the difficulty scale better that would be great. (maybe always have insanely hard maps available?)

I think, there's too much going on now.
First: Melee Units
I don't really get, why I should use any melee units, because sooner or later, I have to use ranged units anyway. And by using them, the ranged ones level up faster, so ... why melee?
Second: The Elements
I'm really confused by the new Units and Elements system. Way I see it, the skills depend more on the unit type, than on the element.
I think, it would have been better if poison had a poison effect, cool slowed down, fire could set on fire....
That way, the strengths and weaknesses of the enemies would really have an impact on your strategy.
Instead, my poison units debuff and my ice units "poison" my enemies - that feels completely random - because when hiring a new hero i don't really know, what effects i will get - unless i know all the units.
The game feels a little slow at some points (and the music could be a bit more adventurous.), but all in all a good game and a lot of effort.
Great job.

it gets really easy at the end. only used one hero with warlock, two warlocks were enough to deal with the last lvl... btw, the forgotten cavern is the only lvl where you need to think at least a little bit, since there is at least one unit for every element who absorbs it. but nice game, i really liked it.
