Every other , "free online games site" is a piece of crap compared to kongregate. Armor games makes some cool games, but I would take kongregate over them any day.

Any guides and what not?

unknownkiller45- go to the hydra level, and level up 1 physical, 1 energy, and 1 red unit... it took me 3 tries, but on the third, I had leveled up my hero's enough to complete it....

Max Ranged on a hero, take Shadowdancers into the Hydra level and max Loot %. I swear I had 10 Protectomons drop in one play. Gotta catch 'em all!

Finally beat the storyline. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Only one board was hard to me. PM me if you need help with a hard storyline board if you absolutely cannot beat it. I should be able to offer some tips.

Spamming low level units works most of the time, however on some maps the later enemys will have high armour. This means that unless the unit produces more damage than the enemys armour rating, you end up dealing 0 damage no matter how many of them you have made.

upgrades may seem low in the descriptions but they are plenty powerful, one unit might start off doing maybe 30 dmg and can end up doing over 200 with a few upgrades

Upgrades for units in game are weak enough that they aren't really worth it... Kind of weird for the fourth installment in a series where the same problem persists throughout. I generally do a lot better by just spamming low level units, even with the added cost of paving.

one strategy for all, first, mute sound. one hero with Trainee is all you need, preferably with fire element, most quests at start are weak to fire, when you get them, equip items that give wisdom to your Trainee Hero and to the other 2 heros, loot chance and steal chance, later when you have enough items, put paving cost items on them, put all points into Magic Use up to 20 and then tactics. you should get a few element switch items to take on the levels that aren't fire, just turn your Trainees into the element you need. until the last few levels i only needed 4 or 5 Trainees on each level have one of them level debuff and the rest damage, i always put them all as close to the entrance as possible to make the levels go faster.

mobs colored icon needs to be the color of its strength not its weakness, it is pointless to be able to see their weaknesses when you have to sift through each one to make sure you're not going to use an element that one wave is strong against and breeze past you

exellent job. the game was detailed and well made with the occasional funny pun like greg, yes that greg or snakes on a plain. best game on kongregate

@Waffles: I think you mean "All the grammar mistakes of "You're" ARE really bugging me in this game." Grammar Nazis are bad enough, but it's especially annoying when they can't even adhere to their own rules.

Ugh. All the grammar mistakes of "You're" is really bugging me in this game. Please, go through all the dialogue and study up on grammar. It makes it tough for me to read it.

Tip: if you want to level up your character fast, the best method I found was to go on the mission The Great Hydra (the red one on the island), this mission is very good for training up your heroes as well as your personal level (wouldn't recommend using Physical units though...), I get roughly 1000xp at the end of it, usually at least 1 item and a lot of XP for my heroes!

Leveling up yourself and your heroes seems to make the game easier, but isn't needed to win any of them. I'd like to see (hopefully in a Protector V) maps where leveling is needed to finish some maps. I'd also like to see maps where having hard hitting units isn't simply the best way to go.
Maps where money is tight, making cheaper units a good option. Maps where the spawn have high armor and a lot of time before exiting; making poison better.
Then add in scouting information about the map itself, showing a tiny picture, and giving some general comments about strengths and weaknesses of the area. Are you going to need a unit with range 3? Is melee extra strong for some reason? Do all the creatures seem to have some resistance to magic? What level range of hero/general combination is suggested?
Since melee can't hit fliers there need to be more maps where melee is really worth it despite the few waves of fliers, or more maps without any fliers.

Would be nice to see the bonus stats added to the units (the kill count or hero bonus, for example) in every unit... i fell like i'm been cheated in the power cause i cant see those bonuses.
Great game either way, i think it keep the nice things of the previous ones, but add a little twist with the units depending in the heroes and the equipment part.
