WTH. I bought two heros, they stated energy, but when they were in my roster, they became fire. can you please put some more info on elemental types?

I have to say, i initially commented on this game saying it wasn't too good, but i thought i would give it another chance and i must say it's so much better than i thought to begin with, lots more to mess around with and the levels are more challenging than previous which make it more fun, 4/5

naah i tried to play it reading everything and trying to enjoy as hard as i can but i just couldn't... im sorry but i guess i will have to rate this game 3/5

Odd side effect: every time i finish a quest (win or loss), whatever I'm listening to on youtube automatically mutes. Weird. Also, new update switched the gentleman elite to skirmisher on a hero I hired just to have gentlemen. Oh well.

Too bad this came out the same week as Loved. This game will win if only because people could not understand Loved. Oh well, congrats for the money Protector! It's a good game but I can't get into the series that well.

2 more spelling errors for you: one of the talents is called "mark of the pheonix" rather than "mark of the phoenix." also, when you mouse over the wisdom stat, it says "for those who covert knowledge" rather than "covet." also, the new fixes make the game much much better.

I have to say the previous protectors felt much better as TDs. In this one I maxed my starter energy hero on magic use and simply spam build the basic mage. Why? The damage upgrades that are achievable come early on(first upgrade for 10g is good value and getting the second by lvl 3 is still ok). Leveling an unit cost way too much and gives too little in comparance. For example dragon cave, it's full of cold weak mobs, spamming energy units and not upgrading a single one was enough to simply sit back and send waves without taking a hit. It's too grindy to level up Heroes for specialist and it isn't necessary at all. In previous versions you had much better balance! Constant debuffing, aoe and precise placement/leveling were the key to success.

I really don't understand the popularity of this game. I will grant that this edition is by far the best so far, but from my perspective that isn't saying much... With each new edition of this game, I give it a shot and try to "get into it," but the games seem to lack a lot. This really seems to boil down to another tower defense game, and frankly, even the best tower defense games are becoming less than mediocre as they become so ridiculously abundant.

possible bug, or I may just be missing something, but I can't place any units on the "hydra" level.
one other recommendation: offer a way to sell/delete units you've already placed
great game.

Is it just me, or on the Storyline Quest titled, 'the Great Hydra,' is it impossible to place a unit anywhere? Possible bug.

This is a pretty awesome game, only thing is sometime in the middle it does become a grindfest to level up and hire new heroes. IE, I face a ice-based level and I have no ranged ice units, thus any flying ice units will be very hard to kill and thus I must find a ice ranged hero, yet none is available.

I guess it's just not my kind of game. 9 tries, 1 success. I almost won once but then I got slammed and my guys just couldn't keep up. Most games start off very easy, let you work into it. This seems to have a very steep curve. Ah, well, I shouldn't mark it down just because I can't play it well... it is kind of frustrating though, as I can see how fun it could be.

Another scout bar flying issue:
Storyline Quest "Mountain Highway," wave 11:
Gazer Escorts: Strong Energy, Weak Poison [Flying] [Regen] [Flying]
Waves 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, and 11 in that quest seem to have a [Flying] where they shouldn't.

The quest description's scout bar still isn't showing flying correctly. The "Grandpops" normal quest showed nearly every wave was flying, when really only a handful were.

Thank you for changing the recommended element to a full scout bar. It feels less like a game of chance because of it. If I lose now I've no-one to blame but myself.

You can no longer visually tell what rank your units are from leveling them. You have to individually click all of them to find out what to upgrade next. Also it is a pain to keep checking the cost to level rather than a visual signifier(sp?). This is definatly a step back if ti was done on purpose.

its hard to try out all the units - the system discourages from trying different heroes. also melee units are completely underpowered, just as the only melee heroes. there is abundance of flying everywhere and with the limited selection of elements, you are always more likelůy to choose the flying heroes
