Gruesome Death
Dude! You just completed the Gruesome Death achievement in Protector: Reclaiming the Throne and won the Gruesome Death badge and 5 points!

i will ask in a different way: must all units have the same level so that they gain further exp?
to me, it seems to be so because everytime i upgrade one, the other one doesnt gain exp any more?!?

the graphics could do with a little bit of improvement, but the gameplay is pretty good. I like it that this game is actually a collection of maps, with a skill tree to help in your conquests of all of them, we don't see skills a lot.

I had the same problem, I just started playing on hardcore mode for a while, and then refreshed and got it after another map...

I really like this game. It's a bit of a bummer that the game boards are the same as in the previous game, but the strategies needed are different. Some of the boards require a lot of patience (at least the way I play), and I kind of groan when I get to them. Otherwise, awesome game.

If you do another Protector game (please please pretty please), I'd like to suggest that you find a way to make leaking bosses more damaging. One of my favorite strategies is to intentionally leak bosses once or twice each, so as to get more experience points to all of my units. On some levels this has not only allowed me to get units up to level 9 or 10, thus causing massive carnage, but has enabled me to finish a level designed for many units with only one or two. Perhaps a boss leak costing multiple lives instead of only one would help balance this out?

For me it was a simple but yet a challaging game.
Of course it's difficult, it's a brain challange, you must use your brains.
I play it 3 long nights...

I got a glitch where one of my mages dealt 7 times more damage than it should have. I had another mage that was placed at the same time and they are the same level but one is much stronger. O.o good glitch XD

Logged 12 hours on normal and only 4 for all of hardcore. So much for that being a bigger challenge. Also, it's not saving/posting any of my high scores for the final map.

VERY hard game. Only took me 3 months to finish it. 1st one was fun, this one was like going to work. 2/5 stars. Especially since your success is limited to 1 to 3 different builds to win a level.

lol i def noticed my level 0 mages randomly throwing out a debuf. and also noticed the guys getting to 0 hp and not dying. i was playin the regen level and got the same monster to 0 health 4 times before i actually killed him lol. fun game tho. at least after you have a couple skill points to help you out.

A note on gameplay: The first few easy levels are exactly that.. easy. Once you complete about 5 maps or so and are ready to try some medium levels, the difficulty ramps up fast, as if the game expects you to have more skill points than you do. Once you push past that little barrier and actually acquire the points the next 10 maps or so get easier and easier as you can just plow them with your upgraded mages. Then again at the end it gets a little harder, but nowhere near the wall that happens early. This could turn off players. It almost sent me away and I enjoy this series. Also, as with the first game, the slowdown on a full map is just insane. I'm on a new machine and it can't even chew through it.

The progression path is too complicated and cryptic. The first game had it down nicely. I know you want to jazz things up, but this is just too convoluted. Simple is better sometimes. And I miss splash damage early.

did a test again (in the not so vast forrest map) and seems mobs can be damaged after getting their hp reduced to 1 hp max, however it seemed like the mages that did damage the snake there before (poison, 1 step before destructor option) where unable to damage the 1hp snake, a destructor with the 85gp upgrade however was. yes i know the snake is strong vs poison, but it was damaged by those 50gp upgrade mages before
