Oh, and mafaias, that chain message I posted was actually a spoof I made up, and I think they already baleeted it. It was stupid though; either way you'd be screwed. And one more thing about Wackie's guide; I took the Inflictor path and won.

Thanks for the guide, Wackie. Although I wasn't able to invest any skillpoints into the mage tree, I was able to max the EXP gain, which was vital to getting my mage to max level quickly.

i got a glitch where i got a warrior selected and i cant place it down or get rid of it. i cant select anything else, and im on wave 26/25. the game wont end.

path to shoreviev guide
-upgrade exp gain to max
-upgrade the mage tree as far as possible
-build ONE green mage in the middle of the "T"
- upgrade that mage as soon as possible, take the destructor path
- at max lvl give him holy and he will pawn everything
works on hardcore as well

path to shoreview is pretty easy with 2 or 3 well placed poison mages, specialized in infect / destruction.. the boss will circulate several times if you dont have a max level by the end, since poison will be just about the only thing that hurts him.

plz can anyone ban all the stupid chain maker... waste of time if somone need a good taktik or help, to read somthing like "you gonna die if you do not die if you don't go to toilet with your pc and paste this... !?!?!"

@ Devonan1: The monsters on "Path to Shoreview" Have high armor, and ONLY warriors/archers can kill them (mages can too as long as you have one with a very good damage but i dont find it possible at the last 3 waves).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
devonan1: for path to shoreview level, its because their armor is really high. so you need high level mages/warriors to do any damage.

Draco, it's called planning. If you don't do any, you lose.
Watch how the creatures move, they all follow the exact same paths, and 2 tiles wide is easy for a -mage- to reach across... and mages are generally the better units, regardless of the fighter's increased damage.

shut up you stupid chain message noobs... ive read at leats a thousand of those and guess what? still not dead, still havent kissed anyone...

I love the new mage upgrade system. It's so much easier to use than Protector 1's version, and a lot more strategic. Slowing Fire Mages and debuffing Cold mages is enough of a change to make this game better. Well done.

Wow. This is hilarious. If you play the hard map on the bottom of the most bottomleft island... Look at the enemies. Badger-badger-badger-badger-mushroom-mushroom-badger-badger-badger....

Wave 3 on Map 'Path to shoreview' is bugged. No matter what type of mage or Warrior I have they will not deal any damage to the spiders.

This is GREAT!! I agree, one does have to think through this game, but that's what makes it fun! I've been waiting for this one happen and I couldn't be happier about it!!

I read through the comments.. You lnow guys, all you treat as a problems, like two-tile paths, separate paths, level-up system -- is what makes this game different. You may like it or not, but those are not bugs, but features:) Just have fun and THINK. It's not just let's place this kind of unit here and see what happens. Most of the levels are about planning. Just look through resistances and weaknesses.
PS: I've only managed to upgrade Destructors and Quickspells to the max. Both are devastating:) But Destructors level-up quicker.. And are better on the way to the max. Also I got a max-level archer.. Pretty good thing:)
If anyone could post the chars of max-ed Rogue, Tact or Inflictor, I would be pleased.

I can't beat the second easy level. This game has the same issues as its predecessors, but fails on more levels as well (is there even anything NEW in this one?)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good job on the new Version : ) Love this game, even though I couldnt really figure out the last levels remaining, yet.
Really takes a lot of planning ahead.

i hate the easy? level. i tried like a dozen times before i realized i needed to poison the last guy. now its taking forever to kill it.

This game has all the problems of its predacessor (two tile wide paths mean I don't know where monsters will go, and they tend not to use some of the tiles, meaning covering half the path is worthless) and only introduces new problems: I can't have fire damage until a mage levels up. The second map I did had it's first boss immune to physical, yet the only thing that HAD leveled so far was my two fighters, I lost three lives on that boss alone.

I finished the game never having to use anything other than tactician/destructor, only using archers for a single level. And I don't think I used anything other than infect and debuff either

quickspell starts getting really good on the second quickness lvl then it rocks for speed.. the dmg though is.. well.. moderate^^
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How about instead of telling us to use tactics we don't even know, give us a few in the protectopedia. Make the game a little easier. I can't beat some levels on coward.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Quickspell is essentially worthless, which is a shame; double damage versus a measly 0.4s reduction in casting time? It really needs to be reduced to 2.0s (half) casting time to be an equal tradeoff.

Chain letters, how stupid. Like a few letters typed onto the internet by a supersticious moron will actually ever affect anyone in the way the said moron wants it to. Especially if the words are all spelled incorrectly, which they usually are.

decent game with small but necessary changes from the last one. gets a little repetitive, but its fun nonetheless. 4/5
