to all those talking about ultima online... if i recall correctly (i used to play UO)... defender came about around the 5th year of UO... i heard of it through a friend in UO... it was sort of a mini game that you could play while UO was down etc... lots of top UO players had high scores in defender.... you could look at it as a sort of rip off i guess but i think its more of a homage to UO then anything...

I played the other protector night and day 8 months ago and this one is better, and I dont care who ripped off who this game rocks.

4/5 cause maps and gameplay are tha same of first chapter...has only poor new things.
Anyway I like it, just cause is a Tower-Defence game and I love them.

i encountered a huge bug after a few lvls I cant click anyof my guys to increase thier levels or even to look at them just nothing comes up

this game still copies ultima online's npcs and sounds, 1 out of 5, if your going to make something, make it original

ha ha some of the names are really random i had a lv 7 grandmaster named harry potter! how dumb i mean if you make a number 3 let the player choose the names after a wave k? just a thought but awesome game keep it up the layouts very similar in alot of the maps too and yes i know its supposed to be the same but please think of new maps for number 3 call it: like..... umm protector the forbidden realm and give it new monsters because there are too many monsters that look the same.. ok? but great game keep it up dude/ dudette

Please make sure you fix the amount of units that come from each side, my left warrior has 28 exp, my right has 7 exp
I placed only those two guys to test it, really really unbalanced, so make sure you fix it.

just had a few of the bugs run around with 0hp, and unkillable :( level full of warriors, with the various kinds of debuffers in the beginning.

To anyone annoyed about EXP gain:
I think the key to this is placing units in the beginning the BACK of the map where the units leave, so they'll level up. Then you can place units the front and they’ll level up super-quick. This’ll give you a fairly strong run, it worked for me a whole lot

so, my leveled up fire guys cant kill the frogs on the fallen mine level. then i put in a new guys who 1 hit KO's everyone of them

Zumacalis; I think the EXP gain per unit is based upon how much damage % they do to a target; example, if a lvl 1 mage does only a 0.7% reduction in the unit's health, then it'll only gain that much exp.
Only my theory on it though, because I've had to deal with the same thing.

wow compared to the rest of the game the last lvl makes everything else look like a cake walk im workin on a strategy though

example... i placed a generic mage at the begging of the map.. on wave 3 .... its now wave 6... it has gained 5.02 experience.... no.. not acceptable

one problem is that the weaker a unit is the slower they gain XP .. so if you place a unit on the map after about the 5th wave they will see very little gain.. because xp gain is entirely dependant on how much Dmg they do per hit .... which is retarded .... a weak unit should gain a boost in xp for attacking a stronger one... giving it a slight chance in hell of becoming more than a waste of 25 gold

I agree with zumacalis, my guys seem weaker than last time. Combined with the confusing leveling, this isn't as good as the last game.

nice i like alot better then the first i think. i like the skill tree and how you can change the way a char looks thats the bomb the elemtanl warriors look the coolest!!

Yes have the same problem... My mages stopped getting xp and havent lvled up once yet. Some kind of bug apparently because my warriors are still getting xp.

So what's the idea of picking what element they will be on first upgrade if you get to pick any of the elements effects on the 2nd upgrade?

not always getting experience points for damage or killing, had an instance where the unit was killing 10's of attackers, but no experience or kills showing in stats, makes it hard to level up units...

Only be playing for a few minutes now but I am not too impressed. Is it way too complicated now? Plus where is the bar that showed what strengths upcoming waves have, that was so handy when planning a strategy for a particular stage.
