Correction.
Names got nothing to do with it, new mages, same deal. the one on the top does less dmg, or the ememies on the bottom outlet have less health...but the top also (when named trashman) gained less ex per kill
at 16 kills he was at apx 15.50-75
while Gordon (on the bottom) was at 23 kills and exactly 23 ex...
anyone got any idea why??
Go to stone feild border and put two mages on the two side spots closest to the outlet...so each can only reach one outlet (till the baddies hit the two square island where you can place units)
try it and see, it's just ..yeah.
odd

sheesh...never knew that...
One of two possiblities.
1-Mage (or likely any class) named Trashman is weaker
OR
2-Mage named Gordon is stronger.
Had both on opposite sides on map "stonefield border" and Gordon wiped them in one hit (no upgrades) while trashy took two. I had all mage upgrades save the lower right corner ones on.
I hate trash man, he messed up my Def.
or Gordon made me feel better about myself...either way.

fallen mine: try and get to the last 2 upgrades and some reduced hire costs. put 2 mages on the bottom in front of where they go. then wait until they lvl then choose cold. You hsould have enough money to put the other 2 mages on the bottom. Don't upgrade them until the end. when you upgrading them; cold: cold, slow, generalism, destructor, massivedamage.
Fire:same thing.
At level 4 the hellfrogs should give you enough exp to lvl one of the mages, if not, wait for the bats to give the mages exp, then quickly lvl to massive damage. the goal here is to quickly upgrade the cold mages to hit more than 100, the bottom 2 are for support and to beat the embassy.

Fallen Mine also has some secret to it. I put 2 ice mages at the front, both fully upgraded to cripple and specialize at it, and on the 4th wave with the armored bats they knock all the bats down to 1. Behind this I have an archer fully upgraded to armor piercing. The bats have their HP go all the way down to 1, and yet the archer cannot kill any of them.
I'm sure there's some kind of trick to this, so what is it?

SirBattle, the very hard map only use "physical" warriors. Only use 6 warriors in the bottom part let them all have level 3 first. Then fill the upper part with 7 warriors. Don't use poison, that mage will take out too many exp, warriors cannot level up.

SirBattle, try using only physical warriors with consecration and give them damage-oriented upgrades (generalism, damage, tactician, etc.) Also, buy the three extra life upgrades. I'm assuming you know strategic areas to place them since you've made it this far. You should have no problem with any of the waves except for 19, but with the extra lives (you'll start with 20) you only have to kill a couple (depending on how many you've lost in the previous waves).

"Consecration" does damage to an enemy that would normally "Absorb" damage... It does have it's uses! Now if someone could tell me how to beat the "Very Hard" Map I would appreciate it... it is the only map I have left and I can't make it past the 19th wave =-\

moshi with armour peirce that not how much additional damage it does its how much armour is peirced
for example if the enemy has 35 armour and u have 8 armour peirce its like attacking an enemy with 27 armour rather than 35

@ vangalorr: it's not bugged your units need to do dmg. and when the enemy armor is too high they don't deal damage and by that dont get xp. that simple.

For amour pierce, if an enemy have amour 0, it will do nothing.......If an enemy have amour 1, it will cancel out the 1 only, either you have amour pierce 8.

Oh, I just found out the function of consecration. consecration 100% = hit at 100% attack power only, not add to damage. It just ignore the enemies' elemental strength. Useless. Why not choose an enemies' weakness which can do 1.5X damage?

I have a question about consecration. Lv 2, consecration is 100%. Lv 3, 125%? 35 attack 125% (78.75)is bigger than 40 attack 100%(80)? I don't think so. This special attack level up is totally unbalance. (Maybe my calculation method is wrong. You should show equations of the special attack. Amour Pierce also make me confuse. For example, Amour Pierce 8, when a warrior attack a amour 0, 1 or 9, what is the addition damage it does?)

Protector is better. Some design is not good in this game. 1: when still at level 1, mages have no school. 2: special attack need level 3. 3: In level 3, force you to choose special attack. So, mages attack power are still weak until level 4. 4: A very big problem, why I can't see what will change when level up?

this game is much better than most of the tower defense games I have played. It is simply more fun.
My one complaint is that you cant change the SFX volume. I like the effects, but they are too loud.

Actually, a better way is to have only 3 mages. One cold on one of the top squares and two fires on the bottom ones. Keep your fire mages on a low level; concentrate on upgrading the fire mage. If you can get your cold mage to destructor before wave 3, you should be able to kill them in one hit.

Silvux, it's best to have about 15 skill points so that you can upgrade your mages a ton. Just make sure that you have absorption abortion and magical manipulation. Only use 4 mages. Two fire and two cold. Here's the positioning: On the top left square, put one fire mage in bottom middle position. On the square under it, put a mage on the top middle position. Do the same thing for the other side. You should have one fire and one cold on each side. Upgrade them as soon as you can (try to keep the sides balanced). Go for the infect and generalism and destructor upgrades.
