The updates say 1.08, but I see 1.07 in-game. I already deleted cache and stuff, but still 1.07. It was a typo yours, or you still didn't update to 1.08, or what happened? (If you are going to answer, it's likely I won't see it in the comments... please leave a shout =])

The difficulty seems to scale quite steeply at the end; I had little difficulty getting through most of Normal difficulty, but now I'm stuck on Captured Shipyard and The New Throne.

There appears to be a bug where you get to a level and your mages/fighters don't do any damage to anything. I can't believe that's a part of the game.

*sighs* Wow I was doing really well then BOOM Mega Lag spike and even when I turned adjusted what it tells me to adjust to fix lag spikes I still lagged up so much I could not do anything

Resol, your attack has to be stronger than the creeps armor. the beetles had like 50 armor, so you have to hit them for at least 51 to do 1 damage. etc, etc.

I think this game is a vast improvement. The new upgrade system is more complex and allows for more diversity, the new points system is more complete, and the addition of armor stats to the enemies makes it difficult to win with the "spam level 1 mages" strategy.
5/5.

hey, whats with the beetles?? when i have 5 swordsmen vs 1, its walk right through despite that it only has 50 hp....am i missing something?? they eventually die, but after a few lucky hits. are beetles able to dodge melee attacks?

A good update to the game, this fixes all the issues from the previous versions. It's much more challenging, even on normal mode and you have to use all of the skills to win. There are no new maps, but it doesn't really matter because the enemy waves and strategy are different. Great game!

I guess I'm not the only one who thinks, "badges badges badges badges mushroom MUSHROOM!" whenever I'm earning badges.

i beat every level in the first one, in which you didnt need anything but fire mages
and i made a suggestion with that version (1 mages are too overpowered, 2 Game is too slow).
there should be an option in-game to increase to x3 speed like some other defense games.

It needs to show the current stats of your tower/guy when you upgrade. I can't always remember which mage is what and can't specialize them as well.

Not deep at all, simple mathematics makes almost every choice in this game obsolete. Leaves you to question what in the world the designer was thinking.

This one seems a lot more difficult than the first. The medium difficulty levels at normal setting are kicking my butt.

i believe the first one was better, i loved protector and played until i completed every last mission. not sure if i can convince myself to get all the badges for this one though, isnt as fun as the first

Those 3 scout skill changes (-2/3/5 % starting health) are actually detrimental in most cases. Combined, they reduce the starting health of enemies by 10%. Unfortunately, they also reduce the experience given out by 10%. Hopefully this bug will be fixed - possibly by reducing the max and starting health by that amount so that the formula can stay the same.

Its like going to the store and asking the clerk "whats in that bag?" and the clerk says, "oh thats some treats..." and you say "what kind of treats?" and the clerk says "you have to buy it to find out". so you do, then you forget if those treats taste as good as the treats you purchased last time you were at the store.

Why not show the exact improvement in probability and damage when choosing a skill path. I never know what effect anything i pick is having. It makes the learning curve of the game unnecessarily steep.

great improvement on changing the scouting skills. This game is overall way better than the first one, though difficulty doesn't seem too well balanced, tho i imagine that's hard to sort out with the open ended level selection - after about 4-5 levels it's very hard, then becomes easier and easier again as you max out the mage tree. haven't got far enough to know whether this'll change later...

Moopy, funny enough, I passed the bridge on my first try pretty much accidentally. Poor planning resulted in me doing exactly what they suggest NOT doing and spamming a lot of low-level units, and it somehow worked.
I think that may have been a luck-out though.
The low experience makes me think that maybe you have to do it with as few men as possible, so that the experience isn't spread so thin.

graphically astounding. the animations are very cool. are they 3d? gameplay wise, its different from other tower defenses ive played. upgrading based individual experience is a good concept.

better than the first, still overbearingly boring......the upgrade system is wonderful, giving warriors the same skill elements as mages, but poison mages r still underpowered......like evrything has a strength of poison, so they r pretty much useless at the beggining of the game at least
ill give it a 3/5, -1 for boring and -1 for boring
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
not a very good defender game, when you send 50+ mobs in one wave....it gets a little much...especially later on when you arent levelling up AT ALL.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
once again (as with the first), adding a unit late in the game is ridiculous, as he cannot gain much xp at all
particularly true with warriors

Yeah, there's small interface changes, and the new upgrade system is nice, but Protector still pales in comparison to other good Tower Defense games - the interface is still pretty unintuitive, and the graphics need lots of work. 3/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Much better game now,but the downside is that many people got bored of protector and this is pretty much the same really
