Maybe in the 3rd one they could make it where you could put yourself in the defenses and your ability's depend on what skills you invested in.

Fun for a little while, but the units aren't varied enough. SLOW. "Time wasted" is apt ... only game I spent more time sitting around on was pandemic.

@Jackdaw: Start the esy marathon and click on the units to see what the highest avg weakness is, i.e. likely be Fire and Energy - so pop 1 point in each of those to reduce cost, then 2 in Paving reduction - in most maps i prefer quantity in priority rather than quality, save experience building until you have too.

Jackdaw I built up the red mage twice. The other 2 points I put into more xp. I think the trick is to keep paving roads and building new units when you get a surplus of money- Don't wait for your troops to be ready to upgrade!

Best way to beat rat trap is just use all dexers wherever possible. Then fill out the spaces that can't reach with fire and electricity... Just beat the entire game...

Finally beat it. Thanks Passover. I just threw like 14 Dexers, 4 fire mages with splash, and 2 poison mages and it all went pretty well. Guess I was overthinking it with splash and stuff. Splash must REALLY suck if it can't even work on that level.

Got Rat trap on my 1st go after 11 maps. @Goku82,
3p in fire, 4 in Dexer, 2 in teacher, 2 in Mushroom Grower.
Dexers in the front areas closest to the main floor, Mages at range, didnt put any energy dudes in until till late, maybe had 20 by the end, 24 Dexers i think rest fire mages. Level'd Dexers as prioirity, lost about 6-7 lives but completed it.

Okay, I'm stumped. I can obliterate every single level in the game easily but this stupid Rat Trap stumps me. How do I beat it? Fire, Dexer, Alchemists, Paladins, nothing works.

the trick to the game is just scouting the map and figuring which element or two are going to be best, then maxing their stats and making a bunch. It's pretty easy once you realize that. And you can get the skillpoints back. Check the bottom of the page.

Do you end up shorting yourself XP in the long run if you use poison? Or does the mage get credit for poison damage as well as the initial hit? Same with splash?

When I have a son, I`ll name him after the first mage or dexer I randomly click! That will be fun! Love the names! ^^

Despite being slow, this is one of the best TD games i've played so far! My only complain is that I found those advanced units to be quite useless. Only used them on the easy marathon and on 2 or 3 medium maps. They are too expensive. =(
