Worst game. i like TD games but without the speed button it takes to long. And the game doesn't run as smoothly as expected. Only did it for the best of 2008 quest. Only + side is the names... Wang the Red Mage. Hilarious

This game WOULD BE great if it had a speed button, a sell option, and was more balanced. It's also extremely unclear on the path of monsters on some levels, making it take several tries to correctly place units. 3/5

I agree with you completely Illucoran. As well I am also doing the achievements (personally I hadn't played this version of protector since it was before my flash gaming days) and I must say that it is a very well made game for it's time and now. From reading comments it seems most people who dislike the game do so simply because they can't find the "win" button that most games have, however that is exactly what makes this game so much fun and such a great game design. After playing Protector IV I honestly prefer this one simply because it's about 300 time harder to beat and requires some real strategy, the same reason why one of my all time favorite games is Super Mario Bros (and trying to beat it without the level pipes). About the only things this version of protector was missing was a speed up button and a preview waves button, otherwise it's absolutely fantastic 5/5.

I'm kind of a long time player to the series and this title as well, though I never gotten around to getting the hard badge until now. As such I still maintain the high rating for the game that it originally had even though it is clear that the TD development went forward a bit in the years (as evident even by further games in the series). I would, however, like to express my disappointment at the removal of the wave preview feature. Without it the initial approach to a level is guesswork only at times assisted by a hint in the level description. The player is all but incapable of knowing if the the final waves will maintain the same elemental weaknesses as the initial ones, what's more, this title doesn't permit an effective "good against everything" build, a trait I always deemed a plus but which is now detrimental to the gameplay. I honestly have no idea what might have brought this design decision.

Hello? Where is the 3X button!? And while choosing between power and skills might be fun for the professional TD lard-face, it is not fun for the average user. We want fast, fun, and cool. This game contains none of those traits. If I could rate this lower than 1, I would do it!

so...the first hard map, you cant upgrade your units? or am I glitching so I can't click on my own units? Not sure if its a bug or intended.

I don't know if I should be scared or amused that my most powerful mage (currently) is named Harry Potter... Anyways, great game. However, this one does certainly take time to beat, and that's not just because of the difficulty. Definitely could use a fast forward button, but I know that was installed in the later version of this game.

seriously? u named a person belgarion? im not sure if they get 1/5 or 5/5 for that... + if you actually know who the real belgarion is.

This type of game type, tower defense, may not be one of the bests. But you have to give him/her credit for the artwork, the fact that he tried to make a game unlike most of you. I find this game kinda addictive. You just need to learn how to set up your units in correct order and when to upgrade what. Slow game play but fun! Nice game Undefined!

I have to agree with the other comments. This game is mind numbing slow. After I get the Road Scholar badge I'll never play this game again!!!!!!!!!

It seems that due a recent strange "security update" the .sol for the game was moved from the folder "pRotectoR-kONgRegate-1_0.swf" to the folder "Protector_Final_Secure.swf". If you want to get back your lost progress, just copy your .sol files to the new folder.
