3 other things i would like to see or that might be cool:
a) only show units as upgradeable if you can afford it (toggle?)
b) hide towers from view (sometimes they block my view)
c) show overlay of monster routes

nice game. you only really need mages though except for rat trap where u need dexers. also, imo, bar goes way too far back. last 3 would be kind of better since going all the way back to 40(all) makes the game a bit easier then it already is

fair point... but it's there and so it will be used regardless of whether it makes it easier or not. i suggested only showing if the player has previously experienced a wave (which covers your point of writing stuff down). on a side note, how about letting me disable other features of the game (like absorb... silly point, i know, but valid with against your argument).

The wave viewer can be turned off via the button on the left side of the menu if you want to play without it.
I'd rather offer to people the ability to know basic elemental details without having to write them all down and play the map twice. Elements and specials are the only thing revealed this way rather than everything.

i think that if they looked different with each upgrade (maybe every 2-3 upgrades) then that'd be sweet... also LOVE the new wave thing.

Yes, fast forward button please! Maybe not a button, something like holding down shift would work. And I don't like the Wave Viewer as well, I'd support something like little icons above the map to tell you what the main elements are. For example, xxx would have a little green dot to show that they have lots of poison resistant enemies, etc.

Love it! When playing Defender, there were several things I thought, "I wish this had X." And Protector has all the X's and more. *Only* thing I miss is the graphical representation of the tower upgrades. I'll live :)

some maps have the same name (ominous shrine?). why not make up unique names for the maps and then display them inside the actual game.

Wave Viewer seems like more of a development tool or a debug tool. If you are going to leave it in the game, maybe some waves come under "cover of darkness" and you can't prepare for them.

Please cut the wave viewer. I thought part of the strategy was preparing for the unknown. My vote goes from 5/5 to 3/5 and is no longer part of myy favorites.

Great game 5/5. Used 2 archers and 2 fully upgraded paladins on stronghold. It was usefull to have a sole poison mage at the start of the map and many fire mages. Less light and cold also.

something else that might be cool to consider are "god abilities". everything else is always an investment into something long term, but god abilities could be investment into a short-term/single attack that might bail someone out of a situation (but of course, be costly).

great game, but it really needs a fast forward button. i tend to put it on low-quality because I *think* it speeds up the game a bit. But it shouldn't take 30 mins to play a 20 level game. Though admittedly I multi-task and do other things so I check back to start each level and go back to whatever else I am doing.

Wave viewer sucks. Take it out or modify it. It makes the levels waaay too easy. I no longer build dexers at all, and find the weakness in the waves, and build only that type of wizard, with a couple others to support. I suggest making the wave preview only show you waves that you have already played (ie: you lost in the previous round).

I love it. It's time consuming, fun, and addicting. Oh, and the wave browser is a HUGE plus in deciding when to get dexers / crusaders.

Wow, great game. Takes a good amount of strategy+ it actually gets harder. I also appreciate the new wave browser. Great job, 5/5

Lapper, I consider the immaculate desk badge hard (I think) but this game is quite easy. I've read tidbits of the protectopedia one time and I think this game is quite easy. Just remember to use skillpoints.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yay for fast forward and for the mages to stop attacking I think that's not possible since that's a huge point of strategy when it comes to absorb bosses..

Wave browser glitch!
I saw it. I clicked 19. Then I was about to click it again when the proceed pop-up showed, and it won't go away... (the 19 browser)

Some minor suggestions: when I click on the square a baddie is walking on, show me the baddie. Make the defender stats box appear on mouseover and disappear on mouseout. When there's only one baddie, pop up his stats box right away. And yes, I'd love a fast-forward button. Still, awesome game. Nice work!

Not perfect, but definitely a 5/5. Ignore the people who say you should be able to sell things; that'll teach them to have a balanced defense. It would be nice to be able to tell a defender to sit the round out, though.

okay, this needs more speed... it says i've spent like, eight hours on this game... we need more speed, and i need to stop playing this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i don't notice any difference in the speeds of the creeps that have been affected by the blue magicians. is that my eye's fault or a bug?

Question: Do poison mages get the xp for the damage they do via their specialty attack? It doesn't seem like it from what i can tell. This sucks if true, b/c I tend to use poison as a primary damage source.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yes you are completely right lolzorz unlike desktop defense games quantity in this case is actually better than quality...

Lapper: the strenght is in numbers.
A lot of unupgraded units will do better than 1 fully upgraded in this game.
Nearly fill out a map (leave some spaces to adjust to the absorbs the last few waves might have), then start upgrading.
Also, vary your damaging mages.
If you always pick generalist, all 4 types do the same damage, but hit different weaknesses (and strenght), that's how you avoid absorb killing you.
Wise_dude321: Past Elder, there's Legendary.
Legendary is the last.
Just got a Legendary mage not too long ago on the Hard Ominous Shrine (25 waves), they get a speed upgrade.

Well.... i also must say Absorbs are annoying as hell...... with no way to predict what strengths and weaknesses/absorbs there are its really hard... I almost lost just because of 1 boss with absorb......
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think it is RETARDED to have to start the game all over just because your towers feed the enemy. ADD A SELL BUTTON!!! we shouldn't have to DIE for a freaking absorb level!!!! it's WRONG!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
May have been said already I don't read all comments but I would like to see a speed setting for when I want to go a little faster if I know I have a wave beat. Great Game!
