BUG: Running Ubuntu 7.10 with swiftweasel. after a few moments the flash area goes white during any hover event. I don't notice this with other flash games on the site.

Definitely needs a speed-up option. Playing the medium levels is extremely boring when you get the hang of it. But you have to play them in order to get more skill points and unlock levels. Nevertheless it's the best defense game I've played so far!

Last card finally. Don't need to play anymore. Some maps take a time or two to get the order down but once you get going the later levels/marathon maps can take forever.

you could make the mages get more xp to lvl up like 20 instead of 8 and take the gold to lvl em up away it would be nice casue the lvl is like a big limit for some mages

I found this game a great idea, but I found it a bit repetitive after a while and lost my interest in it. Nevertheless, a great game!

' It is so lame to have 20 rounds that are strong against X but weak against Y, and then to have round 21 be strong against Y and weak against X.'
no it adds difficulty, stop complaining because you can't do it.
'To me, that is just poor level design, not “deep strategy” as this game is tagged.'
it's great field design, it's very diverse.

I like how you can rearrange the skill points for the levels you need them! Protector gets rid of the basic TD playing and adds twists you wouldn't expect to see! Great game!

I'm not a big Tower Defence player, not liking that style of game. This was a LOT of fun, though. Top marks for depth, replayability, excellent strategy, and just overall enjoyment!

mr_myers666, it does, if you have like lvl 5 or 6 blue mages always upgraded specialists and this cold special upgrade skill (but you are right, it should be noticeable before you reach like slow 75% or 102%)

How about spending points in interests? like you get 15% of the gold you have at the end of the current level? Spending points for money would be a good idea.

If everything moved and shot twice as fast, it would really improve the game experience. Hard not to fall asleep as it is now. 4/5

I agree with raehl311 that the maxed out mage strategy appears to work best and makes the game too easy (definitely tone down the 25% attack speed increase!) however, to say that the game has no strategic variety is just plain wrong. if you are playing this game for fun and not just to earn the badges as quickly as possible then there is tremendous variety and replayability: different units, generalising vs specialising, and different skill tree choices. this is without a doubt one of the best tower defence games i have played and well deserving of five stars. the skill tree is particularly brilliant and keeps the game interesting until the very end. i really hope the creator brings out a sequel with more maps and options.

I agree. Please please please allow the player data to be stored on a central server. Any decent computer user will be conscious about keeping his computer clean. I wipe my computer using ccleaner after every browser section and that includes all the flash thingies.

not too shabby, it hooked me enough to blow a few hours on it. one thing i noticed is that whenever an enemy died there would be a short lag. it made it pretty jerky and I'm guessing that can be attributed to some semi-inefficient code for deaths. Also I loved the little bar that said what each wave was strong and weak against -- loads of help in planning ahead -- although I kind of wanted to see immunities too.

The first "sub-boss" of Coastal City (The Baron) has an undefined elemental strength according to the wave viewer. When he actually arrives, his stats claim he has Fire resist + Absorb, but Fire mages still do normal damage to him.

PaladinJosh: I didn't ask for removal. I think its a great idea... IF it only shows waves you've survived!
So if it were patched to only show waves you've lived through, it would be ideal. Then you don't have to remember what they were.
But to know in advance the exact composition of the enemy assaulting you is a bit unrealistic, and makes it too easy and boring.

Nice TD game. It looks like Vector TD but this game is much better than VTD.
The only thing I have to complain is the offline version removes some important features that need to complete the game (especially "Reassign Skill Points"),so I have to remove 1 star from it.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to add the ability to initiate a new wave when ever you'd like to, this would help speed the game along. Common feature in many other TD games. 4/5... very addicting.

its weird but on my pc where i am now it doesnt show the wave browser.
But on my laptop using a different connection to the internet it shows the wave browser. but i agree with Gnarshra, it shouldnt be there
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wave browser should only show waves you've survived so far! (i.e. if you died at wave 10, shouldn't show the other wave stats) Makes the game too boring to know how to build in advance!

This games is pretty good, gets a bit dull on the marathon lvl's though. Its the best defense/tower game I've played in a while though.

Well I've finally finished all the levels. Without exception, once I got past the easy levels any sort of "fun" strategy was doomed to failure. Pack the map from back to front with whatever most of the waves are weak against (usually fire), with other types of mages sprinkled in for their special effects. Put a poison mage or 2 at the front of the map for kicks. Rinse, repeat for every map. The rat level was mildly interesting but in the end the strategy that works is pretty boring (pack every good spot with dexers). I rated this 5/5 when I started playing but ended up pretty disappointed with the lack of promised strategic depth. I'd give it a 3.5/5 at this point, bumping that up to 4 for the fun I had before it became more tedious and repetitive. On the plus side, it was actually decently fun to play for 15+ hours to get the badges, which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for the last Kongregate game I spent so long on: Pappa's Pizzeria.

deep strategy is a lie. pretty much use fire for the majority of it and only upgrade general skill. i get problems with sounds playing delayed and also sometimes can't click my units during a wave sometimes. needs more enemy variety. anytime fire resistant guys do show up it doesnt matter because my fire units are powerful anyways by that time. only three of the levels were different from the rest: the total flying one, the rat one and the one requiring only blue units to win. interesting at the start but becomes slow and repetitive later.
