to quote, in substance, a whole mess of posts: "It is a rip off of Defender" ... No crap, morons. Protector and Defender are made by the SAME PERSON

Beat a map with two necros, and didn't get that part of the award... badge. Does this have something to do with the recent update of the game?

There should read clearly where you can spen skill points. Everyone seems to be asking it. In the map screen, in the upper left corner, are three tabs: Skills, Map, Menu. Click "Skills". You can spend skill points there.

Also, there are occasional glitches.
Sometimes, when I'm playing a map, something out of place (Like an alchemist's potion) will fly across the map and hit an enemy. Sometimes I get a sound that's not supposed to be there.

Oh, and I also suggest the powerups during the wave. Good game otherwise. I played through all of it. I had great fun at the beginning when I didn't know what I was doing and I was trying out all kinds of different things. Got boring near the end after playing through so many levels of essentially the same strategy and similar waves.

My suggestion for a modification/future game would be the following: Have a wave mixture in different maps that forces us to vary our strategy. Make the advanced units more useful so that we'll use them. That way, we have more useful units to use and maps that force us to think about ways to beat it rather than using just one, cookie cutter strategy.

The necro weakness is acceptable. It simply means we should not use him on maps with a lot of strength electricity or absorb electricity. The Chiv Dexers though, for sure are not worth it. 250-300 gold could pay for 8-15 Dexers. I prefer the latter. I never really did use the Alchemists.

Just going on about the advanced units. Each of the advanced units cost a lot and three of them have a strong weakness. Chiv Dexers and Alchemists cannot hit air. Necros are vulnerable to absorb electricity. (Based on one game, I believe that Alchemists cannot hit air)

3. I found little reason to use the advanced units, necro, paladin, etc. First of all, I am not even sure how much the necro power grows whenever he kills a unit. Secondly, in terms of cost, power, range, etc, ultimate mages are better than advanced units. If you evened the gap between ultimate mages and advanced units, than perhaps we might actually use different strategies and units during the game

2. It can be a bit boring during a wave. Firstly, the pacing of the waves is at times, slow. Secondly, there are really a lot of waves at times. The marathons can take over an hour and they get repetitive. Thirdly, during a wave, we usually don't do much. Sometimes we upgrade or place a unit. Otherwise, we just watch. A suggestion would be to give us some sort of power up which we can use once per wave/game/etc. Power up = Temporary damage multiplier for a unit, specialist ability boost, range boost, etc. That way, during a wave, we don't just sit and watch.

By mechanical, I mean, we repeat the same strategy over and over. Some thought required about placing and timing of placing. However, we are basically repeating the same steps over and over. There is no need to analyze the map to see if a different strategy is needed.

Just a few comments: 1. There are strategies that work on almost all maps. I used a balanced setup which meant equal numbers of each mage, specialists mixed in at regular intervals, everone else generalist, a few dexers. I used Ultimate Mage. I used that strategy on almost everymap except for 3 (Rat, air, and the Hard map on the right island). Respectively, I used dexers, archers, and red mages for those 3 maps. If you read the comments below, some people beat the game using just red generalists on almost all the maps. The fact that we can use one strategy on almost all the maps is not a good thing. After we discover that strategy, the game is mechanical afterwards.

Hello... what is the Paladin they are referring to medium badge?? Is it the super dexter? I hope not because I put two of them on the last two maps and didn't get anything?

Spam red mages, and you win.
There are 2 maps where this doesn't work, and you need to toss in a variety or units or archers.

Ooh, I'm excited to play this. Looks like it's based on Noxin's earlier version called Defender.. and it uses Ultima Online graphics :)
