For some reason I thought you'd get different powers in different levels. I know some recent popular games taunt you when you die, that doesn't mean that every game should. I'm stuck, and I'd give the level number, but they don't appear to have numbers.

Literally the best game I have ever played. Simple, elegant, and overally perfect. The "idea" of focus is extraordinary, my own greediness hopes they make another game yet.. I feel it would be ruining the originality so probably all in all prefer they keep it just be One perfect unexploited concept.

The only thing I would change about this is add an alternate control scheme. My up arrow key doesn't work properly, making this far more difficult than it needs to be. Other than that, it's amazing

I can barely restrain myself from throwing my computer out the window, or setting it alight, or some mean of harm. UnknownJoe796, what have you done to me?!?

@totallymady: its an idea that sounds good on paper but is awful in real life. Especially on insane mode when you need to do fast, mini-hops. You dont want to be tracking down that circle every time. That could work well in a non-flash platform, however, where the programmer can control the pointer location...

Innovative game mechanic, combined with simple graphics is a wonderful combination. I really like this game.
One piece of advice would be to add a round with a sigle uber-fast turret before using two right away in 'insane' mode. Also, there are some nearly impossible levels on 'original', which are much harder than several levels later on.
It was not immediately clear on 'original' what an infinite-focus gem did. Add a comment or something to clarify.
Finally, make more levels with tons of turrets and an infinite-focus gem. Those were my favorite.
Nicely done!

well that was a really nice platformer, extremely hardcore but nice although it was very short. Im lookin forward to a Focus 2

addendum -- this game makes me feel like a g*dd*mn superhero up till the superfast homing missiles. then it makes me feel like a g*dd*mn failure. a fiery, dead, failure.

Been on 2,32 on original for a while(Honestly the rest of original is just a lead up to it, imo. Got twice the deaths here than on the rest combined) and realized that the game isnt that fun. If it werent for being a completionist, I wouldnt have played it through normal. I mean, dont get me wrong, there are some good elements, but... pixel perfect timing and bugs do not a great game make. And while the little death comments are cute, they'd be a lot more appreciated if, say... missiles wouldnt occasionally fly 100% speed through my focus and laser beam into me. Heck, sometimes I have my focus up and still fall down. Things like that.

@Grimgork explosions shouldnt go through solid matter? you know what else shouldnt go through solid matter? a person, you know what else shouldnt be possible? teleporting or w/e it is the character does....its a game....the physics of games TEND to not be realistic....if you want a 100% realistic game, about half the games in the world right now would be gone if not much much more....deal with it

The character keeps sliding around, and sometimes on spawn you just go in one direction uncontrollably. These make it really frustrating to play.
