I like it pretty much, it looks better than the first one I played, yet it's just the amount of changes that seems proper. However, the new click-arrow-to-scroll-map technique is quite annoying for me... moving the cursor to the edge of the battlefield suited me just fine, this clicking can become quite a problem when you want to act fast :)

There are small details, like the windows that come up on the bottom and right hand side, that tell you whats going on. I love that it doesn't get in the way of the actual game. Good job!

this is the updated version of "advance wars", you can make ur own maps on advance wars also the only thing that is different is that the units and scenery is more decorated/detailed but sadly there is no cut scenes when 2 units attack/defend against each other when they collide.

Cool beta. It would be really nice if you could navigate the map with WASD; it gets annoying to have to switch between selecting and navigating with the mouse.

I'm really excited about the multiplayer. One of the problems that I had with the first one is that the AI would throw away 1,000's of dollars worth of units trying to defend a building that was right next to your base. It was too easy to stick a commando on a building, draw a bunch of fighters and tanks to the commando, then pick them off one by one.

agreed with cinderblack:
barricades can be any number of things they can be: walls, gates, crude blockades. in this case u should think of them as gates for friendly units.
as for ganyiki: yes it was pretty formulaic i agree as well because the enemy units only attacked those they knew they could survive/win against and near the end their last 3-4 units started to run around in circles and didnt attack.. hmm.. strange :P
overall i liked this game! still gets my 5 stars.

cant wait till multiplayer comes out also on multiplayer can u (pepole who r making multiplayer) put diffrent clors thn blue and red and let us pick thru all kinds of colors anyway good game 4/5

@ganyiki- blue Barricade, blue team. that's hy they could go through. the previous game had the same attack-get attacked responses, which in all honesty makes sense. ouldn't YOU shoot back? ;)

I don't like it much. If you don't destroy the barricades around your warmachine, you can't win or lose. Each guy takes damage almost everytime he attacks. The enemy was able to move through a barricade, which doesn't make sense. There was nothing random at all...which is too formulaic. And the construction feature didn't work. As pre-releases go, this is a mistake. It has potential, but I will probably never play the full version because I really didn't enjoy the pre-release. Keep working on it though.

This is going to be every bit as good as the first one. Mind you, it looks to be _exactly like_ the first one, minus some interface tweaks.
They're good tweaks, though.

Some of the text is kinda hard to read, specifically the numbers that say the cost of a unit in the build screen, I suggest you change the font, or at least the colour. And go back to the original graphics if possible, not necessarily for the units and background, but definitely for the people like Pearl and Argent cause they look kinda funny -a transition between CGI and 2-D

good, better graphics than battalion: nemesis, but 1 prob.: its bugged. Once i enter the shop or unload a guy from an albatross, it freezes.

You have several little duded on hanggliders along the bottom of your screen. Fly them to the big red "warmachine" in the middle of the screen, and then 'deply' them. They need to destroy at least one of the blue barriers blocking in the warmachine. You also have 3 tanks to the North, just beyond your view.
Go get em, Tiger.... er whatever.

An excellent game i think it is ready for mass production there are no improvements i can think of hurry up and roll it out already
