I like the ability to review evidence that was gained from previous games, really nice change of pace from having to memorize EVERYTHING. Not a fan of the "random encounters" like the guards on the bridge, where it's more or less guessing and hoping for the best.

This is really good stuff! Captures the classic feel of anime plus fantasy tropes that was so charming in old school JRPGs, especially the mix of pixel art and SD avatars with high quality anime portraits. It's the kind of charming, almost literary formula that major studios like Square have forgotten how to make. Plus the detective formula instead of combat is really creative! Very very cool.

So, "Sir Eisen" was involved in kidnapping the princess and at the end of the game he simply walks away like he´s never done anything wrong? o.O Even if Eva would have used a spell to disguise herself as "Eisen", wouldn´t the real one at least say something like "oh wow, i´m glad to be here again"? i´m confused....
