When I opened my eyes my mother was gone and little me did, what every little's supposed to do: find your mother! I moved over that ground of whatever material, my nostrils trying to get the scent of my mother. Distracted by a lot of other scents - and other creatures who were to eat me! - I found my mother at the end of the... ground?
Where were we? I just wanted to follow my mom when happened what never should have happened: some stupid other snake ate her! Where's my daddy anyway if we need him?
My mother didn't even see my first kill... :'(
I found another snake-snake of my type and we made a little... oh, he was so cute, my favourite! Just one little moment I lost him out of my eyes...

I was thinking this was just slither.io with proper netcode.
Why couldn't you have made that, rather than making a less fun single player game?
Single player means you lose the odd quirks of human players, such as forming concentric circles for the heck of it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't see how this is different to slither.io myself, other than that it's single player? Touching an opponents tail is still too sensitive :/

i'M SO UPSET THAT THESE AREN'T REAL PEOPLE. I'VE BEEN TALKING SHIT TO MY COMPUTER FOR 2 DAYS AND THEY AREN'T EVEN REAL!?!?!?!?

So, since this isn't really multiplayer, how about a "pause" function. One game can last quite long, like an hour or more.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If anyone has still any doubt if this is in fact a multiplayer game or you are playing against AI snakes. Load the game in the browser - disconnect from the network - enjoy the game :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, I noticed the different names but thought it could just be because there are different servers with a server limit. I'm 99% certain this isn't multiplayer at this point, but I think this is kind of a cheat by developer trying to lure people into thinking they are playing against real opponents
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's not multiplayer. Try ESC / play to restart the game couple times. It's always different names and scores. I've also seen same names in different colors / scores. Pretty good AI tho, I must admit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is the game actually multiplayer like it seems to imply or are your playing against the CPU? If I right click the mouse button to pop up flash preferences the game actually pauses and it looks like all other snakes do

Still very buggy.
Using my boost for just a second when I was at 20k size dropped me to 19k, and the leaderboard was totally bugged until I died showing everyone else as either "1388" or "1411".
What's strange is that when I finally died at 30k, having seen not a single snake even a fraction my size, rejoining to see if the leaderboard had fixed revealed there were apparently multiple snakes past 20k.

Encircling snakes doesn't work as well as it does on slither.io. I'll always die if I try encircling because the hit detection isn't as precise.

My favourite thing about this game is thinking about nature, hunting and survival while I play it. I think this could be a fun classroom experiment. While students play, have them think about how they gather food and how other players gather food. Are they aggressive, going for high risk but high reward take-outs? Do they try to be scavengers, hanging back and waiting for a chance to take the rewards of someone else's work? Maybe have them work together to form a "pack."

I'm a big fan. this is a great game to play while listening to podcasts or music. please don't add a chat feature, or make the text easier to read. i don't want to see or read or hear any gross internet shit while i play this cute worm game.

How come when I play with my kong username I completely suck but when I play with the name "FREE FOOD!!!" I get the number 1 spot and reach a length of over 9000?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how about showing where on the map the top 10 players are, i can never find them when i am top 5, also how about making the top 10 list and names a little more visible, thanks

Guys, playing on here is much much easier than slither.io, no one is playing aggressively. I scavenged my way to the top spot. I'll be going back to slither.io, but I'll add some advice that might improve the competition here. Try to judge where large worms are going based on their current direction and where the motes of light are. Boost so that you go in front of that area. Remember also that there are two types of advantage: Small worms have the advantage over large worms in that they have invested less time in their current play session, so it's not so bad if they die, so they should be aggressive. Large worms do have an advantage over small worms, however, in that they can surround them and slowly reduce the size so that they eventually crash.

A few unlockable skins would be interesting. Some new patterns once you reached some milestones : 15k, 20k,25k, 30k, 35k... ^^

Would it be nice to see the location of the number 1 on radar. That way people could try to trap him in team :p Also a little message about who killed the number 1 like "XXX killed YYY who had 35000 points" would be a little ego reward for both player for a few seconds ^^

That feeling when you trap someone into your huuuuuge body labyrinth 15k+ and turn around eating things while the dude tries resisting to suicide x')

For everyone who doesn't know, yes, this game is a complete clone of slither.io. However that isn't necessarily a bad thing. On the slither.io page you can't see the top scores, and lag is consistently horrible. (As with most .io games.) So while I would of preferred that the creator would have added something to the game, in its current state it is a slightly better slither.io game.

Great game honestly. As a slither veteran was playing this game for 10 minutes and already made 14k points.Seems quite easy enough :)

A different view on the large snake subject : After a few plays, as I see there is an unfair advantage for the large snakes compared to the small ones. Once you hit the size of 2.5 -3k, your speed will be the same, turning circle is the same, you are zoomed out - your relative maneuverability increased, visibility increased, and the snakes body is large enough to protect the head under any circumstances. From that point you just need to wait for folks to bump into you and eat them, which they will because you occupy an huge portion of the field. Not even similar sized snakes or larger ones can hurt you.

It's basically Slitherio with nothing new or impressive added to it. In a few ways, it actually feels even worse in terms of movement and controls: Hit detection can be a massive crapshoot at times, the balance mechanic of orb trails while a player sprints is no longer in, and one of the only few aesthetic changes is that the backdrop's this bland and basic 2.5D-ish plane. I guess you can count the snake designs too, but I don't; seeing as how, in the skin options screen, the example model is, surprise surprise....a direct rip of the Slither.io model! There's really nothing substantial that's different about this that I'd recommend it.

honestly I was enjoying it but there are some major problems mostly it feels empty even with 500 people
but now for game balance there really should be something to stop tiny worms from basically swarming the head of big ones and running infront with the hopes that they crash while the little ones mistiming it...big deal (seriously being over 8k points and top of the leaderboard..literally that was the biggest threat)
agario works by the 'big fish' principle while yes there are ways the smaller ones can fight it doesn't instant kill the big one (well it sometimes does but not like this) here big ones feel like the victims whose best tactic is to form a circle and just keep that up until you get bored

Nice follow-up on slither.io. A few points that would make this game better: better response time to the controls (at this point my snake feels a bit sluggish), smaller hit area or improve the performance (in this version I often die even if I am just close to an other snake) Boost mode: anything but challenging, it is really just to scare others or reach some targets faster but not to hunt down other snakes. Overallit is a quite relaxing game, when I can easily dominate the field just by counting on other people making a mistake.

I don't know why this game has same developer or a rip off game or just stolen game but it's 99% similar with another game named Slither.io.
