The game is alright. But I have to say, it starts out absolutely dreadful.
The help at the start doesn't help much. The first 2 times(1 reset) I lost my second battle and couldn't do anything anymore. 2/5 because of that

5 minutes in I got beat up a bit, and now I have one gold and damaged ships, with no way to continue as far as I can tell.

A ship with ripped SAILES moving faster THEN the wind. APPEARANTLY I was the only one EVERY seeing it. Wow no typos in that sentence....

Really enjoyed this game, however its a shame that you can finish the game before you have to buy the top ship... I managed to sink the ghost ship with 3 pinass type of ship. Then when I kill the ghost ship I get no real sense of achievement...perhaps add a scenario where you have to attack a fortress to save your sister who was not after all killed... (make the fortress much stronger than the ghost ship thus making you buy the top ships and gear them up to stand a chance against the fortress...oh well perhaps in the 2nd instalment). Great job though its been a while since we v seen a decent pirate game in Kong and for that I am giving you a 5 star rating!

Didn't this game have the Berzerker Studios's Frantic Frigates song...? I think it had it. It's a great game, though, I had lots of fun. It's a bit frustrating when you lose all your bounty, your fleet is totally destroyed and you have to spend time trading from city to city in order to recover some coins SOOO you can start fixing again your ships. Pray that you don't get a random encounter in the meantime because no money and ships destroyed means "downgrade" to your ships, SOOOO!!! you gotta trade MORE stuff from city to city to get money and recover your upgrades, fix your ships and sail normally again...

Final battle was anticlimactic...I dutifully maxed everything, then killed the final boss using only 2 ships. A 5000 HP boss is pointless when a single ship can do 2500-3000 damage in a single turn...

had a weird moment when i finished a battle by boarding a ship and instead of showing 39 for damage of the successful boarding it showed 39.959832897348732

Are you kidding me? Clipper (who didn't carry guns at all - they would only slow her down) have half the firepower of Ship of the Line (no less than 150 cannons)? Pinnace (15-20 cannons) is actually BETTER than Galleon (up to 300 cannons)? I do understand that this is just a game - but was it so frigging hard to at least study the types of ships - and their names spelling? And your Potoprens (is it Port-au-Prince?) almost drives me mad. You don't have to pay for using real cities and ships names, you know. These are not modern cars or weapons. Very lousy work.

I have everything 100%, all towns conquered, but there's still no ghost ship. I'm on day 442 and I've lost all hope, is this the end?

Awsome pirate game! And now that it is on Kongregate I will play it to the end again. A few suggestions / comments: 1.) It would be helpful for the new players to have more in-depth description on the attack types. 2.) Mid game gringing was a bit .. boring 3.) Last battle was way too easy, even for me. 4.) Trading ships ... still not very appealing. 5.) I truely hope there will be a sequel will a lot more cities, products, maybe with a late game option to upgrade to starships and plunder nearby planets :)

Good game, my only disappointment was that I had only worked my way up to the Pinass ship class when I completed the game, therefore I didn't get to see the other two classes above. 4/5

So i spent some time, traded, killed many ships and finally upgraded to max ships....Then i 1 shot the ghost ship and sent it to Daveyjones locker in less than 6 clicks. Awww come on???

Nice concept, liked the story, gameplay gets a little boring after a while. There's a lot of grammar mistakes. I still like it though. 4/5

Ok lol.. I completed almost the whole game, with the 3rd Ship you can buy, because I didn't see that you can scroll the list of the ships. Thanks for that advise, now it's a lot easier to do it.

This is a pretty great game. I hope you make a sequel. I like how you can upgrade warships to have more cargo and trading ships to have more damage, but maybe in the sequel you should have three ship lines? You could have true trading ships and true warships on the outside and then in the middle a hybrid class.
Guys, trading ships are not useless. The damage stat is the total damage the ship does on an attack. The clipper does 400 damage per attack and the ship o' the line does 440 damage per attack. You can see this in action when you attack and the big yellow number shows up in front of the enemy ship.

Can you fix the numerous amount og glitches in this game. I enjoy the gameplay and the idea behind the game, however I have encountered many glitches. One where I can't attack the enemy ships, another where I can't even go into the battle and it automatically says defeat.

Several bugs. The additional Cargo (from stars) Isn't taken into account when buying stuff. I just used the boarding option and now I'm stuck, as in I can't do anything at all. If a shit dies that was the last ship to move, you also become stuck and have to retreat as well.

I've also noticed several spelling and/or grammar mistakes. These are easy to fix with the help of a dictionary.
If English isn't your native language, it can be tricky. Get an educated native speaker to help.

I love the game but the final fight against the ? ship is far too easy, I killed it in my first turn without even firing from all my ships!
