Who else thinks that seeing the cannonballs arc up and down on their deadly warpath bringing instant doom with grim efficiency is the most beautiful thing ever?

to those wondering, crew increase the odds of boarding a ships success. more people for you, less people for them, higher change of success.

Boarding is the fight between the crews of the boarder and the boarded. It's basically a option to attempt to make the ship surrender quickly.

The name of the game should be: "Breaking economics of Caribbean" I have made a situation where all kind of anomalies are happening.
1)Export so much from the producing town that it is profitable to import it back
2)Buy a lot of stuff, then go to fight, return to the town making profit with the goods

really like this game, however, for whatever reason it is not registering that i have enough ap to take a turn. i can take one turn then i either have to retreat or continously "end turn" until im dead. cannot for the life of me figure this out.

That moment when you have three full-strong ships and you can't win. Then you see that you can use "stars" to improve your stats

Okay. If you want to beat the Flying Dutchman (My country, yay), you have to use ship bullets.
Now if you are familiar with the menu in the down right, click a button that says something with the name hull.
Use dynamite and fully upgraded Ship Of The Line with the exemption of cargo, you don't need that. Hope this helped you! + to help the newbies.

I think this is great. The depth and complexity of the options available become slowly apparent as the game unfolds an more powerful ships with higher AP become available. I would say that all that is missing here is a little in the way of tutorial. I know it can all be figured out over time, but I bet you lose a lot of players early on as in the very early stages the game appears to be very simplistic. My advice? persevere for a great gaming experience!

Nice game but it sucks if you have a heavily damaged fleet and no gold to repair it, so you have to fight and then the "weekest fleet attacks first" doesn´t work because the opponent has full life and is not weaker anymore!!! They drowned me easily...

For the guy asked what crew does: Crew affects AP too, but less. And if you damage the enemy's crew, It becomes easier for you to board the enemy ships.

This Game I Rate 2/5, Reasons why? The Game is just poorly designed. In the beginning I have to wait for a ship from outside my boundary to come to me, sure I can walk around and one will randomly appear but it takes waaay to long to do that. The "Weaker Ship always attacks first" is simply a lie. I've gone to ports or entered battles where the ship is WAY stronger than mine and they usually attack first. And to top it all off the game has higher leveled ships appear waaay to fast then I have no options to battle thus losing against the higher level ones. If you're gonna make a game make it right or don't make it at all.

Tip: to handle the small boats you come across that are in sets of 1-3, just use "target crew" 1 or 2 times on each ship. They will have no AP, and can't regenerate any, so you win by default.

If you need to grind WP (war points), the fastest way is to attack a strong town (or Flying Dutchman) and let yourself die. It costs a lot of money, but you'll gain WP WAY faster than destroying ships.

Welp, got to the boss, used fully upgraded ships and dynamite shots for 3 rounds with full upgrades in damage and accuracy and still lost because all my shots went way wider than they have all game previously
Done with this game

To those wondering I think that having more crew members increases your chances of successfully boarding an enemy ship, I could be wrong but it makes the most sense.

Some of the battle music is exactly that of the iOS game "Crimson: Steam Pirates" by Harebrained Schemes. Is it a case of copyright infringement?

Barely knowing how to play, the second fight (not counting the tutorial fights) pretty much destroyed my two small ships that apparently couldn't aim for beans. Now I'm too poor to buy goods to sell, and my ships are broken so I get the "You lose" screen literally the second I enter battle.

I originally thought "aim crew" meant I was going to fire my crew members at them and that was why higher numbers of crew was good... Boarding's nice too.
