To be honest the war points are the only thing thats a pain to get. Gold you end up with millions by the time you finish all challenges. Some of the challanges are cake others are pretty strung out more then difficult. -shrugs.- just some tips might want to play multiple ways to see if your challanges are balanced.

There needs to be a way to partially repair a ship, because after losing a battle with all ships destroyed, the game becomes unwinnable.

One thing that irks me: the mythology is that the pirate sacrifices a red-head once a year to maintain his immortality. Okay, that's great and all. Then how did I defeat him after 370 days, which is 15 days more than a year? Perhaps true victory should be winning in under 365 days?

This game has more trading in it than fighting, unless your gonna lose the fight a lot, everything is so expensive too.

I figured out the reasons why you would fire at crew, sail, or hull. If you aim at Crew, you will increase your chances when boarding. If you aim at Sail, it reduces their AP. If you aim at Hull, it damages health more than any other choice. Also, I found that I get more rewards when I reduce enemies ships AP to 0, or to just enough so they can't attack. @savefile679 To my knowledge, the crew is sorta its own health bar, and the more you have the more ap you get. Also obviously if there are no people left on a ship the ship cannot act and the ship also is considered wrecked.

You need to take on some cargo do several trades between ports to earn enough money for repairs. Of course, if your ships are damaged you'll want to try to avoid the enemy as much as possible.

this is a very good game, but it takes some time to get used to the strategy. what does crew do? none of the attributes have descriptions and it makes it seem likeyou don't/can't use that.

206 ships destroyed, 1.4M earned (with over 2M on hand), 2.6k goods, 343 days.
Good game, had a lot of fun playing it. Couple of issues though;
The weakest ships always attacking first is annoying. What should be a one round fight turns into a two round fight because I'd have a ship lose too much AP to attack twice, adding to the time and cutting into my profit margin.
It is WAY too easy to get money. Once I took Panama (fifth city for me), I was rolling in cash. I mean, I did a few trips, enough that it was more profitable to buy gunpowder elsewhere and sell it in panama, and didn't need to go looking for money again.

TIP: For easy wins, just attack the sails, once the opponent has less than 15AP, they're out of the fight, regardless of how much hp they have remaining.

Really boring, this game need an auto-battle mode, i particularly hate not having any informations about pirate cities and losing a battle with no ressources left, having to sell a ship to start over.

Well that was one of the most unsatisfying endings I have ever seen... Took alot of grinding to get 3 ship of the lines and all the upgrades too...

Bug: I got the final star for destroying 250 ships but...when I spent it on hull, the star just vanished and didn't spend! Grrr! There should be a way to reset your stars.

You should include some tooltip about the star upgrades in game...I only knew about them right before I had to fight the flying dutchman and because some people were kind enough to post it in the comments. Anyway I'm done with the game finally, you get your 5/5 for well made game, but I think there's room for improvement if you decide to make a sequel...

I hate the initiative in this game! If it is based on the weaker force attacking first how come I'm attacking ports with ships with the double of my health and they get to attack first? The same happens with high level ships on the map...you should add an initiative stat to ships based on their size and whether they're warships or merchant. Alternatively just make it a coin toss...

It's remarkably easy. Easy to gain money easy to nuke everything. Use dynamite to take new cities, make a fortune selling crap, upgrade your things. For WP, just nuke everything with dynamite since money is so easy to come by. Dump stars into AP/damage, then accuracy/hull. For flying dutchman, 2 quick shots and a hull shot with dynamite from each ship (altered accordingly as AP decreases). At *most* you lose 1 ship. It's simple. 3/5 for lack of real gameplay/thought

Very Important: Use your Stars to improve Damage, Action Points, etc., or you will never destroy the Flying Dutchman. Click on the star at the bottom left corner, you will see the stars you accumulate, and click the plus signs next to the area you want improved. I'd recommend adding them to the top of the list first (Damage) for a faster game and better score, i.e fewer days.

To easily defeat Flying Dutchman: select "aim hull" and Dynamite (x3 damage). With max upgrades, it's simple. If you need more WP just fight him and lose, you'll gain aprox 16 000.

There is something wrong here. Finishing the game is only a medium badge but it seems to be impossible to kill the Ghost Ship. It has 30000hp and the lowest I can blast it down is 13000hp. I'm using dynamite, aiming at the hull and using 3 fully upgraded Ships of the Line!

if you're unsure what attack does what hull does life damage sail and crew both do ap damage but crew attack does more damage on ap than sails

I really enjoyed this game. I been looking for more games just like this one and cant find it. Good Game. Hopefully there is a second one with all the same styles and some more upgrades and more levels
