Like Skyylark said, "Aim Hull" deals dmg to hp and "Aim Sails" deals with ap, but he only said half of "Aim Crew" which deals damage to ap like sails does, it deals less damage to ap than sails does, but it also raises the chances of successful boardings; and for Nom, the ports aren't leveled individually, the level of each port is directly related to how many ports you've freed at that point in the game, once you free one port they are all level 2, once you clear a second port, the rest all raise to level 3 and so on.

Would be nice to know the levels of each city. I went from one city to another city where my top boat was 150 health. The city I went into had 300 hp each and I got DESTROYED. Panama is dangerous... But yeah, level of city would be nice! Thanks and great game! 5/5

Something is wrong here. I read the advice in the top comments, I watch several YouTube videos, my ships are fully upgraded, I use nothing but the best and most expensive ammo, I aim for hull and hull only, and I've maxed out the star bonuses for all statistics except cargo. But I am not getting the results that you all are. People on YouTube are doing 5000, 7000 damage per hit with this exact strategy. I get 2000 or 3000, and I get destroyed again and again. Why is this? Is it a bug with the upgrades? I noticed that when I buy the farthest right upgrades, it acts as if I had bought the previous ones even if I had not, and I cannot reselect them; perhaps it's only registering half of the supposed upgrades on my ships. It's the only reason I can think of for this inability to reproduce winning results.

Fun game, though I have one tiny niggle; the gamepirate logo is in the way of the sign below cargo upgrades, making it unreadable.

I had a frigate, 2 borques, 6 ports, maximum AP, Damage and even hull (almost) and my save file just disappeared.. how wonderful..

@dad_e_oh Is this after losing a ship? When one of your ships is destroyed it is usually selected first at the next turn and you have to click on a different ship to continue.

You know how when you aim for the sails it decreases their AP, which eventually leads to them not being able to attack and they surrender. Well, in 2013, Phoenixforce said, "'Shoot them!' 'We can't!' 'Why not?' 'Our sails are ripped!'". + if you think this is funny, I thought it was hilarious.

I still don't understand this game. I have 17 AP, Quick Shot takes 15 AP, the remaining ship has 26 AP, but I twice as much health and I can't take a shot. If I retreat I lose money. I'm really struggling with earning money to progress. Trading takes too long.

I didn't intend to fall in love with this game, but I fell for it hook, line and sinker (pun very well intended, I'm sorry.)

couldn't figure out how to battle again, every ship I clicked after finally losing a battle said You lose, and they'd take some money, and I didn't feel like reading the comments to see what I did wrong.

Gameplay was decent, up until the final boss. The final boss removes every bit of strategy that was in the game at all. Can't board it, can't reduce its AP, gets three shots a round guaranteed and has a stupid amount of HP, making it a pure gear check for DPS race. Complete letdown, and poorly designed. Ruins the game, given that it's the entire point. It's not very hard, it just forces you to grind at the end.

if you already upgraded 1 ship and you change to another just for test if you want your previous ship back you have to buy all upgrades again, WTF..=?
