Hull shots target HP. Crew shots make boarding easier. Sail shots target enemy Action Points (they can't attack without at least 15 AP). Quick Shot attacks everything a little bit. And boarding a ship has a percent chance of disabling the ship, but might do nothing.

Had max ships max upgrades tons of gold to use dynamite with each shot and the ghost ship still kills me. Tried doing nothing but quick shots, tried shooting sails/crew/hull (ghost ship ap never goes down). What am I doing wrong?

only san pedro,cancun and pinar easy,but others are very hard,all th ships 150hp until 400.please make all the ships at the shop cheap because all the enemy is hard

I would appreciate that for attacking fleets first that it would support the "punch first" mentality since it would make the most sense instead of the "weak fleets attack first" method. Like if I attack a pirate fleet out of the blue, I would actually be able to attack first. Similarly, if I was ambushed by a fleet, I would get attacked by the enemy fleet first. It makes no sense that if I attack an enemy fleet that is weaker then me that I would actually give the enemy the chance of the first turn before mine and vice versa but whatever balances the game I guess.

Great game. Just wish there was a speedup button for when you are grinding WP. It seems to take forever when the enemy fires two shots from each ship.

@Bilvana - "marginal trading profits." Lol I easily racked up 2 million gold very quickly by manipulating the trading between ports. /Shrug

target crew to board ships to make money, target sails to lower AP for WP rewards, once you start boarding ships, you'll forget marginal trading profits.

Note: The [Change Ship] menu has more ships up-screen. Grab and pull down, there is no scrollbar. Tactics: Even a one-eyed man paddling a broken mast will have 15 AP. So for enemies with >30 ap, rotate your fire reducing their AP below 30, to change ships from 2-shot per turn to just 1-shot.

Benton is incorrect. You need ship of the line and cargo upgrades the damage you can take to your ships, so you need to upgrade everything including cargo.

When fighting the DUTCHMAN. Save up at least 200,000 gold. Switch your cannon ammo to "dynamite" and change target to "hull" ...also invest in Right Side available boats until you unlock "Ship of the Line" fully upgrade HULL and Damage...ignore cargo to save yourself War Points and Gold.

For those of you confused about having AP but not being able to attack. The ship attacking is highlighted in GOLD. If you already attacked with a ship and accidentally clicked back onto it, or the ship you're attempting to attack with has been sunk - NO ACTION will be taken and it will appear if the game is broken. If you're not prompted to end your turn - Try Clicking on a ship with at least the MINIMUM AP to attack. Hope that helps...

Would be nice to know the levels of each city. I went from one city to another city where my top boat was 150 health. The city I went into had 300 hp each and I got DESTROYED. Panama is dangerous... But yeah, level of city would be nice! Thanks and great game! 5/5

The biggest problem is that the strategy you build the whole game does not work on the boss. Other than that, this game was a ton of fun.

i loved playing! Maybe a brief tutorial could be useful at first battle, so we can immediately understand how many features there are in the game, such as WP, sail/crew/hull attacks, best trading destinations etc.
btw one of the best games I've found in months.

No the guys right , if the last boss has 30k health you just need dumb luck too win , 3 maxed out ship of the lines with only dynamite ammo can't take him out ..
