i was incredibly happy to be able to board ships, thinking this would increase profit because the ships stay up, but now the money i find is about 80% less

Why would a weaker fleet get to attack first? How can a slop get a volley off on a ship of the line? Also knowing the toughness of the ports would be nice.

Needs indication for how difficult a port is to attack; getting very tiresome getting nuked by ports with three ships firing three time with first initiative...

Long game.. finally finished it though, failed on the dutchman twice so I farmed up 1 mil gold for all the dynamite and only ended up using around 200k... kind of disappointed. And I was expecting some sort of big ending but oh well. Good game.
A tip for the dutchman - Get around 200,000 or more gold, get 3 "Ship Of The Line" ships and upgrade all of it's stats in the upgrade menu for the ships.. Also max out all the gold star stats like Damage, Accuracy, AP and so on, just ignore cargo. Oh and also on the boss fight target the hull and use only dynamite. Good luck.

This game reminds me a lot of frontier. Both games I love, but since I focus on the cargo shipping parts, I'd like to see the prices of things before I leave, beside the gold coins. I understand the fluctuation of prices, but it gets a bit hard making only a little profit for many trips

well now that I FINALLY know what sail, hull and crew differences are....Crew kills some enemy crew members so its easy to board their ship(if chance high, can perm cause the ship to become inactive), hull damages the ship's HP, and sail reduces AP

RE ya i realized that when i tried to get those stars after i commented. also realized that sails affect max ap rather than current, which can be hurt bc of the lower max

I enjoyed this game. I have completed it twice. IMHO +ve- Lots of bits to discover(trading, new ports, upgrades, different ship etc), sound effects, the battles are fun to watch, there is a story that plays out through the game. -ves it can be a slog and no auto battles or anything, the trading element is a bit sort of random, and generally lots of things are unclear ( what the numbers on the ships mean, specific numbers to achieve upgrade points, etc) But if your like this type of battle game, you will enjoy it. Good game.

target hull is directly related to health. target sails is to current AP, and crew is to AP regeneration. also, would be helpful to see your own fleet's level on the map.

The names of the ship classes have nothing in common with their looks, sizes and even order of the sizes in the real history.

LOL I killed the boss in one try because I had all my ships the best and I had so much money I used dynamite the whole time and only one ship died maybe because it took me 507 day to do it lol.

savefile679: in battle you can choose: quick fire, aim hull, aim sail or AIM CREW. You win the battle by destroying all crew, the sail or hull. Less crew = easy defeat if enemy ship targets your crew

That was annoying. The final boss is luck-based. I had to try about 7 times with no change in strategy before I finally won.
