i found a bug, i clicked an enemy in the room with the hole to drop down to the next level, i got about half way there, when everything shifted and all the people disappeared and my health just drained, like i watched it drain. i died, it went black screen. then nothing.

My favorite build: Werewolf Cursed.
In the beginning:
Mostly Stamina with enough Strength to deal damage.
Get Fire and Ice Resistance to 70%+ and keep it there.
Once you no longer fear being mobbed, pump points into Strength and get Ice Resistance up to 100%+
This gives a melee fighter who can regenerate massive amounts of hit points.n

Once you get beyond a point it is possible to run every floor using shield magic... if you put all your points into WILL

This game is all about getting 100%+ cold resistance at later levels. Once you do that you can play until you get bored with almost no fear of dieing even when swarmed. I was level 160 something when I quit

I just love being a kitilid necromancer. Put a massive swarm at the entrance to a room and poison everyone in it when they chase after you. Then summon you skely's to bog them down in the corridor and get out of the way so none of them can follow you anymore. Repeat as necessary. The only thing you have to watch out for are poison-resistant monsters and those charging knights. Make sure you keep bolt and maybe a defensive spell or two in reserve.

Two things I learned about the game, at high levels: first, there are no skeleton monsters, so Bonebane is useless. Second, there are no monsters with poison attack, so poison resistance is useless. Now, I was over level 120, and about same floor level in the dungeon, since I was just jumping in the holes to see how far I could go (basically unbeatable at that point). Then I jumped in the hole, the screen goes black and the game freezes. So, I don't know if there's a limit in floors you can go, or it's just an unrelated bug, but it was sad, after 2 hours playing the game. Still, I love this game, can't stop playing it.

Skeleton: Master !! You found me and my ten brothers, master ! We help you kill foes, master !
You: Sweet !
Skeleton: Master !! Why do we kill brothers, master ?
You: Um...
Skeleton: You not master ! Brothers, kill !!!
Raped 110%
Bonemaster can be good...

Does anyone else have a problem with a game screen that will not centre, it started off fine, but each time I play now I lose a different part of the screen, the first time it happened I lost access to the inventory and the sound button, this time every thing has moved over to the left and up, so I've lost the words and new object indicator, the words messing up I could live with but this is making playing impossible.
Enlarging the screen doesn't help.

5. Don't neglect armor, though. That 8 armor 10STR chestplate might be great, but a plain 25 armor chestplate is better. If you have trouble killing the enemies, get more armor faster.
6. Play carefully till about after the 10th floor (floor number is boss health bars -1), it starts getting easier from there, with 2-3 level ups/floor, and much better equipment(armor/damage in the 40s-50s).
7. Though your spells are weak, don't neglect to use them. Extra damage from a charge/crit, entangling a boss to be able to regen your health or shielding yourself from a boss are all effective, even if you an only do them 3-4 times.
8. My stats on floor 15 were: Level 28, 1010 HP, 290 MP, 72 Armor, 93+13 STR, 45+5 STA, 40-53 damage weapon, and resists buffed to 95 when using the resistance items.
Thanks to the guys in Cafe Kong for their help.

Having gotten the hard badge, I can share my tips with you.
1. Get Golem Cursed, the resistances REALLY help out later(mostly fire and ice). Use starting talents that give you STR or STA. You want to level 3 points in STR and 1 in STA on each level up.
2. Items with bonuses(especially STR and STA) are higher priority than than those with armor.
3. I think 3 points of STR = 1 damage, thus, prioritize damage over stats on weapons.
4. Only lure 1-2 enemies at a time, and even so, fight them only with full hp and mana, you never know when you might pull more by accident. Also, the only real threats you should face are the ice chargers and fire knights, save some high ice/fire resist items and switch between them and your main set.
Comment 1/2
Golem/Cursed already starts with 40 res, so an item with 55 resistance will make you almost immune to their attacks.

4/5 starts. The game is awesome... but i would have liked it to come to an end eventually... as it was i quit playing when my character levelled up to 201 abd i had 600 strength with 300 stamina. Add to that a weapon doing 11k damage and it was just silly. One hit took out anything.

If you ever get anything with the ability Sanctify, KEEP IT. It says that it heals friend or foe but that isn't true. It ONLY heals you, which makes it incredibly powerful.

The way i got dungeon 15 was.
Werewolf wanderer, each level go 3 stam up, and 1 strength, no int or will, that will come from some gear, just get + 5 in each or something. My gear was mainly stam stacked. I just killed myself af dungeon 15, cause i was tired of it, ending up with 1600 HP, 30ish strength, 12 int, 15 will and 110-130 stamina.
Keep resistance gear in your backpack, so you can change to resist gear, whenever you see ice chargers, or fire spewers in some of the higher levels.
Hope this helps.

Just wanna share a great combo for strong single units.
Swarm then Charm, can kill anything as long as you have mana. :)

Just got to floor 21 with this strategy: Human wanderer - resistance to elements is your main issue as these will do the most damage to you. Keep stores of your +fire and +ice resist items - once you get your resistance over 100 ice charges will do 0 damage to you, and those nasty guys with the two axes and fire arc will hit you for 0 damage. My character got to level 46 with this strategy then I got bored and let myself get killed! ++++ this !

Argh! This game needs a save feature :( I'm enjoying it, but I don't tend to sit and play one game for a long period of time. Also, as other people have pointed out, there's always the risk of accidentally closing the tab (definitely the stupid sort of thing I do), a browser crash, etc.

You don't have to keep clicking to move; you can just hold click down and you'll keep running :) + this so people know !

Completely addicted atm... everything i've ever wanted in a dungeon crawler, and I love the graphics (little things like shading on the characters which I really enjoy). Sure, there could be improvements (couldn't there always?), but for what it is, it works. Thanks for a great game, it's been a wonderful diversion for me for days now.

Would be amazing if not for the glitches and if there were a mid-floor save. I have went underneath the floor when going near an exit, and I have hit an infinite leveling loop so I cant move by going near an exit... There are also issues of not being able to hit the enemies directly in front of you with your arc spells (which are more of a cone/wave than an arc).

I'd love to see where the creatures left to kill are on the map rather than wandering around all the time forgetting where I'd been (!).
Either that or something that shows the rooms/areas you've been to already.

You kids today.
"I wanna save!" Its a rouge-like, play till you die. Some older games like this even have your previously lost characters show up as zombies to attack your current ones.
"What are the pearls for? Change them!" Do games today really not have points anymore? They're points. Pretend they're achievements. =P

..... i just had all my life and magic drained, without being attacked, and now its stuck at a black screen..... bug?

Dunno if this will get rated up enough or not, but to get the hard badge, I made a werewolf juggernaut and played the first 3 levels till I found a heal item. Then I just ran as fast as I could to the next level, avoiding combat. Took me 20 minutes. + if it helps!

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else wish that the Flame Arc ability DOESN'T kill your skeletal minions?
+ me so they see this and change it.

For those of you who use the equipment glitch, hear are some fun things to do.
if you have a weapon for a helmet and run away from the screen, you will look headless.
get two wooden staffs and put them as your armor and footgear, you will now have a torso and feet of a green fish guy, you dont need both staffs to see one or the other.
i unfortunately wasnt able to get a fish head.

Refinement of jman's bug:
Any inventory slot that is filled can be dragged to a different item to replace that slot. You will only get the benefits that slot allows, so no armor from ring slots, and the min damage of weapons is the value used for armor slots.
