My Hack Slash Crawl Story
This is my fourth try for the hard badge after getting pretty close the last two tries. I am just outside the boss room of last level for the badge. I am stacked with great gear and spells. I can see the boss surrounded by lots of bad guys. From the opening on the upper left, I click to charm the boss to beat up his little buddies, prepared to run away from the ensuing carnage like a 5 year-old prankster. Oh no, I missed my click and am now running straight into the middle of the monsters. Hurriedly, I click to run back to the door...but I miss the game screen just slightly. The click didn't register and I'm still running to my certain doom. A few monsters notice and begin running toward me as I frantically, wildly, click to the upper left again to escape....
My click lands on my browser's BACK button.

I will never, never, never play this game ever again.

This is a very good game. It is so simple yet I never get bored. However, I find it very annoying that all gamers seem to agree on a couple things that could make this game even better (i.e. a save button) yet the dev hasn't made any updates!?! Mediocrity at it's best...:-/

Save feature definitely needed...Also, don't know why, but it won't give me the mana pearls badge. :/ I had over 30,000....Still no badge.

It seems to me that opening your Inventory pauses the game. My health and mana don't regen when the Inventory screen is open, so this is effectively a pause.

Vampires don't work to gain an "epic drain effect" because strength doesn't equal damage. Don't waste your time with this class... I have no idea why Darnal's comment has over 4k votes.

Vampire is plain overpowered, should you be able to get at least 75% ice resist. Vampire cursed is even more overpowered. "You hit enemy for 5072 fire damage" The only thing that can kill this char is my own will. Pitiful. Even with fish of luck (51-52) I was able to get 2k damage.

I get a bug where it displays the graphics down and to the right of the game screen. I have a 2560x1440, and zooming in or out doesn't help. Upvote if you reply so I'll see that I have a reply thanks.

I'm not a fan of the point and click gameplay. However, I understand why people do it and regardless I still enjoyed this game. The only complaints I'd have for it is the lack of a Save system (something so that we can take a break between levels) this can easily be done by saving automatically between floors and when you die (that way people cant take advantage and reload when they die) and not being able to keep items from previous playthroughs (that one I understand though and its a nit pick at best.
Still the games a good 4/5.

I feel like the charm spell isn't working for me like it's supposed to. the skeletons I spawn fight okay but anything I use charm on just chases someone and stands there. occasionally hitting if at all. am I the only one

For those who don't have the game centered:
1) You have to zoom your screen back out
2) Then reload the game
3) After you push play and get to the character select you can zoom the screen back in.

This is a great game I just have a couple things.. 1 no continues or saves is getting old... Ive started over 6 times and havent made it past floor 11 yet and quite frankly im getting burned out starting over... 2 either make mobs respawn or give the player another way to grind levels... 3 I love the classes and races that gives the game a lot of variety in play style..

It's funny when you choose "vampire" and "hunter" because then it sounds like you're a hunter of vampires rather than a vampire who hunts.

A bug: If an enemy fires a projectile at your allied unit, the text lists originator as "You", and the text is green. Another bug: If you charm a unit, it does not attack anyone, even if the battle rages all around it, and that unit is not attacked by anyone, including you! This makes Charm a useless spell.

I agree that it should have a hardcore mode where you cant continue playing a character that dies, but its pretty inconvenient that i lose my character if i have to go to work.

Question still nagging me after more than a year: just how much does strength effect damage anyhow? Hard to figure out which weapon to go with when one has a bit higher base damage but the other has a bit higher strength bonus. :\

Never wear helmets or boots, the armor is too low... If you drag from the equipped item to the item you want in your inventory you can actually equip a weapon or body plate etc. NOTE: If you equip multiple weapons it won't add to your damage, instead you'll get an armor bonus for the lower end of the damage it does. Example a weapon that deals 10-12 damage will give you 10 armor if you equip it in a different spot. However the ring slots don't give armor so just put your best bonus items there. + if this trick helps!! :)
