what worked best for me (got to lvl 21) is a golem necromancer
i worked on will and int til they were ~50, then worked on stamina til that got fairly high
make sure to have shield, as it makes you temporarily invulnerable, and costs little mana
after a while the skeleton summons cant do anything, so use swarm for huge amounts of dps while running away from the mob. Liberal use of shield and skeletons will distract them, and everything will die while you watch safely from a distance
Ice resist is the only thing worth getting, as those stupid blue charge knights are the most dangerous enemies, as you cant run circles around them while using swarm to dps from long range

I:) More then 100% elemental resist will HEAL YOUR MANA when you are hit. A good strategy is to get >100% Ice resist and drag a few of the blue knights along for INFINITE MANA. Only Ice and Fire resistances are worth maxing, not enough enemies for the others. II:) EQUIP ANY ITEM IN ANY SLOT: equip for example boots in boot slot. Then drag and drop your equipped boots on ANY TYPE OF ITEM in your inventory and you will equip it as boots! You can only attack with 1 weapon, and you will not get extra elemental damage from wrong spots, but all other bonuses will work. III:) SANCTIFY will NOT heal enemies. And the effects STACK. So you can cast 5++ sancify circles and be immortal. Very very good to combine with tip I. IV:) Strong combinations: CELESTIAL LIGHTWEILDER: use sanctify, raise +2/+2 int/will. VAMPIRE REAPER: Drain 1/6th of your damage as health. Go for MAX DAMAGE. Use critical strike., raise +4 strenght.

For some reason those casters in the beginning are good to charm because they'll actually attack or heal you. Everything else just stands there as a million other people have pointed out.

atlantian magus is by far one of the best combo's i've yet to use.
And woohoo, i unlocked the title "epic" are there any better titles?(in terms of all stats)

THE EASIEST WAY TO WIN and easily get the HARD badge: Choose Celestial Lightwielder (my titles were Legendary and Devastating). When lvl up, upgrade (equally) only WILLPOWER and INTELLECT. Don't need any other magic but HEAL and SANCTIFY. In battles: Always use SANCTIFY-------- I tried NUMEROUS combinations and with this combo I WON WITH EASE.

@ AnInnocentChimp: You need to start the game @ 100% brower zoom, otherwise parts get cut off. Change to 100%, refresh, then you can zoom back in.

1. This is obviously a roguelike, saving is sometimes considered a bad feature for one, as it increases tension to not die. It would be an awesome feature to have though. Arcardelike.
2. BALANCE ISSUE: Getting the class of "lightbringer" is really bad, since so many items will give you "heal", I'd suggest if you have many items that give you heal, there should be a bonus of some sort, even a minor one.
3. Awesome roguelike, fun to see how long I last.

This is a fun game with a smooth character generation menu and a great premise. Unfortunately for me, it crashes whenever I reach the third floor. Same error in Firefox and in Chrome. :(

cool game, but hate the fact that you have to start over when you die! I was at 12th floor and wanted to play later on and ran into dead for purpose and the game was over -,-

Thanks to Bzykacz equation, I can now tell you that after 70 armor, you are invincible, as 100% damage is deflected. =)
BTW, how did you find the equation Bzykacz?

I'm getting the size glitch sometimes in both Firefox and Chrome(zooming in and out and refreshing the page like a mad man fixes it for me eventually), also watch out for the lowest outside wall of the map, it made the screen red and turned black like I died, and then the game froze up.

are at lvl 54 now, and basicly unkillable.
all i did was choosing werewolf (increased health regen), and placed mainly all points in stamina, with some exeptions for some in strength.
then the most important thing to do, is to get ice resilience above 100. (making u immune), and fire to at least 50.
this is because of those rushing blue dudes, they will hit 0 damage all the time :)
hardest lvls is the first ones, but doable with shield to take the edge of their attacks away, and give u room to regen hp some.

I really enjoyed this. I always hope to find games in this genre on Kongregate. Please add some more keyboard controls. ESC (escape) should close any open sub windows. The (I) key should show my inventory. An awesome feature would be a quick switch of weapons, so that the fish weapons stay more useful throughout the game play. Great job! Great game! Looking forward to more from you.

The game bugged out on me - charging a move started yielding infinite experience, thus limboing and giving me infinite levels aswell. Frustrating stuff.

I would also like to not charge in to something after I cast something on it. Chances are good, that if I'm a caster, I want to stay at range.

FYI - The Critical spell cancels your shield, and swarm breaks root =( I would love to be able to continuously crit and keep my shield up, or root and dot!

I think that if I have two pieces of armor that give me the same spell like create skeleton, it should let me use it twice and create two minions.

The game should have an achievement based on the titles. I haven´t got the hard badge, but another medium badge would not hurt the game, XD.

Hmm... after just one level I can fend off 7 or 8 of the spellcasters and fighters that almost killed me one at a time before. Nice.

Can anyone tell me... If it says something like "+5 fire damage" on a weapon or something, does that mean my attacks do 5 fire damage or that my fire spells do 5 more damage?

This game is awesome but i don't like that there are a ton of enemys in a room and like 3 mages so i can't kill one enemy and then they mow me down.

I used Reaper/Vampire, Its pretty easy all time, just while you get a good weapon (For a better healing from hits) you must be carful and just crit them. For the ice knights that charge, the only problme I had, just get 2 pieces that give you 100 frost resiste and they will do NO Damage, and you can change while in battle between items so its really easy.

I love this game its like a solo version of D&D could you add to it duel wield weapon or shields plz or maybe even should armor capes maybe more item opitions you know would be awesome

The only problem with the game in terms of difficulty is that in some cases, if spotted, every enemy in the room will turn into relentless machines of destruction, and kill you right there. The most notorious of these enemies are the knights who use charge, since its completely impossible to run from them.

I'm gonna be honest. I have played this game on at least 10 separate occasions, even after getting the final badge. It's just so damned fun, I keep coming back for more titles/all around ownage.
