Oh, how painful! At floor 14 the game simply froze and I dropped dead. Few bugs still need fixing, otherwise a neat little dungeon crawler.

Not very balanced as yet, resistance to poison and lightning doesn't do much since there aren't many enemies with that. Spells are pretty useless at later levels as well, most useful would be shield and critical strike (1-hit kill)

1,2 * ("armor" * 100) ^ (0,5) formula is wrong, 69 armor is supposed to give you physical invulnerability, but it doesn't

I can only see part of the screen and can not open inventory:(
Seems like the screen is displaced. Does anyone know how to fix that?

for tose thinking the game needs a save featuure, get a life, this game was made to be without one for the titles, otherwise its no fun, a way to constantly work on dif stratagies

@ Solstace Winters Necromancer+Vampire is an good combo for the first several dungeons.
the skilling is str+1 ,wil+1,int+2 (if you want an Character more in combat whit his skeletons put the 1int point on str ) His set should have +int or/and +str

Question: when it says improved strength, etc at the beginning, is it a one time boost (2 points) or does it mean 20% on all future points as well?

One of the more enjoyable games I've played on here.
A few suggestions (for the sequel?):
* Let me move around with the keyboard, please!
* Item drops — less frequent, better items please. (Less clicks!)
* 'Prestige class'-like choice for each class — although every-level Perks a la Fallout are outside of the scope of Hack Slash Crawl, it would be cool if there were one such choice in the game. (E.g., the original Final Fantasy, where you evolved each class into one of two choices ('Prestige classes' in PnP parlance.)
* Combat — if it could be just a bit more tactical (e.g., rock-paper-scissors) it wouldn't get tedious, as the game currently tends to do after several levels. (IMO.)
* Balance — I haven't taken the time to tabulate discrepancies, but they're in there (in all games). I have no doubt you could lasso 50-100 attentive players to hammer on the different builds etc. in your next title, before you release it.

I think I found a bug - my exp keep rising and I keep leveling. Items keep spawning, and unlike many others I can move :D

Another thing I don't like about the game would be the non-stacking of debuffs(e.g. poison and entangle doesn't stack).

It seems wrong that the enemy can use rush after being entangled, since although it is an attack it involves movement, also the enemies' mp never seems to run out, the level boss rushed me about twenty times while still entangled.

For people with display problems, (game screen is off centre and right/bottom out of view) just resize the webpage to the original size, refresh the page, and then you can zoom in again.

I tried Darnal2 and I hafta say I loved the both of them.
However I found at least one (so far) combination that I enjoyed using!
A werewolf necromancer!
It was fun! Give him nothing but Int and Stamina and summon 3 skellies on a single or group of foes, it's great. The best part is that when you fight yourself, you have immense backup, awesome HP, and you heal faster! Shield and Heal help great too lest you need to retreat!
If anyone tries a Vampire Necromancer, speak up, I'm curious to see how it would work.

I seem to have found a glitch but I have no idea how it came about. My exp ball keeps filling and I keep leveling. Would be wonderful except for the fact that I can't move.

To get the hard badge, you must master the art of enemy luring. Take them out 1 by 1 and take your time to get to the exit. It isn't that hard really.

my game just froze on m. :( i was hoping to get the spelunking specialist badge but i guess ill just have to start over... *sigh*

ok i think there should be a stacking effect for spells like if u have 3 of one spell u should be able to make that spell beter because i have 3 heals and they aere useless to me i only need one and the items are too good to replace wiht something more useful i hope u rate this up so creater will see =)

Nercromancer is a great class, if you get 16will, and atleast 20intelect you can summon 3 buffed skeletons (ice, fire etc.) 160magic points needed

To anyone having trouble with the things that use charge:
I've found that if you go through the game *not* focusing on physical combat, you'll do better.
It seems that strength is better early on, but then later, there are so many strong enemies that magic is more effective. You can cast the spell bolt about twenty times within a combat round, assuming you click fast enough. Thus, as long as you attack stragegically, and don't let the enemies overwhelm you, you're safe. With like 50 intelligence, you can kill most things in two or three hits (at the floor you're at, at that point), and thus, you can kill almost anything before it can get close enough to attack you.
:)
