I don't know if the mana pearls do anything, but it'd be cool if they acted as some kind of multiplier into the damage equation or some other equation. a really small percentage, maybe? I feel like they're useless.

This is one of my Favourite games on this site, and although I've given it a 5-star rating, I really would like to see an online save option and also an indicator letting me know which floor I'm on. I love these kinda games, very addictive! Well done Void! :)

good beginner's build is werewolf wanderer put 3 in stamina and 1 in strength every level. This is pretty good for before you have any titles

What's with the horrid placement of buttons? I can barely see the mute button, and the inventory button is halfway off the screen. -.-

I hope, that this comment will help all of you to make hard without titles.
You have to begin with Celestial Lightwielder. Use Sanctuary every time if you see danger, it doesn't heal enemies, so don't afraid to use it when they made a circle around you.
Every lvlup you have to do 1 point in strength (because after you find weapon with critical you will always oneshot everything with crits, 3.3x multiplier), 1 point in stamina (because without this stat you won't be able to take damage from different sources even with heal) and 2 points in willpower (the more willpower, the more Sanctuary at once you'll be able to cast). You don't need intellect points: increasing only magic damage done by spells (after 12 lvl spell damage is no match to melee damage, especially with crits).
It's important to collect ICE and FIRE resistant equipment, because there hords of monsters wich do fire and ice damage (I got killed on lvl 17 because 3 ice mobs get fast kill with me, I have no chance to survive).

Level 43. How? I encountered a bug, the layers of the game reverse, your on the bottom and the walls are below. I moved out of the area the first time because I could not see the enemy I wanted to kill. I went to kill the next enemy and the error happened again, but I was killing him so i let it go. The game registered a kill hit over and over again, gaining me EXP and stat points with each level. 100 STR and 100 END, I quadrippled those stats but it still isn't making much of a difference per hit I am doing. The game also slowed down to a crawl because it dropped loot too. a huge square of weapons, pearls and armor. took a while just to pick up 10.

Spawn a CELESTIAL LIGHTWIELDER and find an item with the BOLT spell (SWARM can do the job but is slow and boring).
Spam all your ability points to WILLPOWER and INTELLECT.
Make'em suffer.
(You may want to have an alternate spell like the icy-one to kill those who are immune to SHOCK).
And, yep, as said down there, the CELESTIAL is almost invicible in the sanctuary.
Some comments, in case the guy comes back one day :
Sanctuary : Healing any friend or for within ? Looks like it doesn't heal foes at all.
Keyboard shortĉut for Inventory !!! (I and/or even SPACE or ENTER as they are not used).
ESC to close the Inventory !!
Ability to double-click an item to switch it with the equiped item of the same kind.
Add a little cross to the item's icon to sell them.

Lucas, you also have no hard badge... so please, don't get us as fools. If you do more then 15 floors you get Epic (+3 to all stats)

I made it to floor 283 and i got the title devastating.I was hoping for some amazing title and i got a terrible title.

I just go with a Celestial Lightwielder. Increased healing + start with some healing spells seems obvious. Also, keep a look out for Entangle, Charge, and Critical Strike. All very helpful spells.

I find myself keep coming back to this game. It's actually one of the best games I've ever played. It completely appeals to me: perma-death, rpg, and many classes to choose from. I must have played this game thirty times, always trying to get the hard badge. This is a truly excellent game.

I don't know what floor im on but I can say from experience that a cursed demon is pretty reliable aswell just make sure to get him protect or crit from an item and at first put points into stam and will until about 50 and then put most of your points into intelligence after and make sure to look for resist items you don't need much though since your resistances are already 20 and 40 for fire.

I found the easiest build is having a Vampire Cursed toon. The resistance goes a long way when you get to later levels(especially ice). After that just put two points to strength and two points to stamina. The Vampire's ability heals you based on a percentage of the physical damage you do, so you want weapons with the highest damage output. I quit at level 30 and could pull multiple rooms with out any trouble. Hope this helps!

From the high scores it doesn't look like too many people tried a high int/will build. I played an Atlantan Magus increasing int and will evenly, and it was one of the easiest builds to play, especially with the fish of luck. Vine Field + Inferno can take out mobs, and flash freeze is great against bosses and fire golems. Having gone well beyond the fifteenth floor I can surely say inferno and flash freeze cannot be obtained on items. (The only other abilities that aren't on items are fire breath, which is merely renamed as flame arc and the summon multiple undead, which isn't worth it as it only takes one skeleton to distract and skeletons max out rather early on).

awesome game, very addicting for at least 2 reasons- 1 is to get all the titles, and 2 is to try to get as far as possible!

I think there should be some daggers, bows, shields, duel wielding. Maybe some less warrior-type armors (robes, leather armor, etc.) 4.5/5

Note: For the arc/cone spells, if the wall is thin enough then you can cast through to the other side. I killed a level boss from a different wing of the dungeon. I larfed.

good game, I lose interest after a while though definitely a one of a kind game and I wish it were turned into a game like runescape that had meaning lol

After a while the game gets to be inbalanced. I became lvl 208 (cursed golem). I did damage over 10k per normal hit (kills of most enemies in one hit). Had complete immunity for ice and fire and an AC of over 500. I killed my character of by grouping all monsters of the complete lvl I was on to attack me and it took a while before I was dead. Too bad that for this character build it gets boring at high levels. Otherwise love the game. Introduce save games!
For new players build a defensive character. When you lvl up use two points for hp, one for strength and one for will. Take a ring with shield. In eraly stages best defence ever. Take immunity for ice and if you can fire. Rest is not so important. Have fun.

The last title is "Devastating". I earned it by becoming a level 10 with over 65000 mana pearls. It gives you +5 stength and intellect. :)

Ok, in addition to being able to shut the music off, I'd also like to be able to change the quality level so I can play this on my weak little netbook too.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The ONLY complaint I have about the game is the apparent inability to shut off the music but keep the sound effects. Other than that it's just awesome.

After trying a few different combos, the human mage is the best. I beat the game with ease. Melee classes one wrong move and bam your done. But with my mage I would just kite all the enemies and blast them endlessly, never getting hit once.

I just played all day to 0300. I'm up at level 26 and down at level 16 and now I find there's no way to save the game. Shit.
