I have a fast computer, game runs fine. Just a tad too repetetive for me to enjoy and the fact that the key mapping doesn't seem to work kills me. I use a left handed mouse so being forced to use WASD is torture.

I cannot stand games like this, because the controls don't work intuitively. You have to learn them. And while you're learning, you DIE.
Sorrry, just needed to rant.

It's not difficult, nor very laggy, but.. it's really just mashing buttons. There's not really much skill involved. It gets tedious, too- mash the left mouse button for five minutes, if I'm damaged, jump around a lot and don't fire until I'm full health, get to the next area, mash for five minutes, get to the next level... rinse and repeat. 2/5.

Good: No lag issues here even on "high" and with ~10 sprites on the screen. At least adds a new element with the effective melee and actual weapon swapping. The "health bar" dynamics are also a nice concept.
Bad: Still based on the same, boring gameplay of the previous Thing Things. The levels themselves also degressed to a more linear style and aren't as free as the previous versions.
3/5

Okay, this game gets a bad rep for lag. Ever heard of shell shock, that's what it reminds me of. Makes it a skill game, which all these people can't handle.
Yeah I just said you people giving it crap just got no skill for the most part.

I would like to update my statements about this game that I made earlier. A lot, if not all, of the problems I presented seem to come not from the game but from the performance of the computer that you play it on. Having now had a chance to really play the game as it was intended to be I have to say it's a completely hollow, stupid, and pointless game and I'm updating my rating of one star to that of none. Better to have a game that's broken, then one that just plan sucks.

I really love this game. Its receivng way too much bad rap because of its "lag" or difficulty. I have a really nice computer so it runs perfectly and I think the difficulty is perfect.

The worst game of the series. Throwing weapons out to get new ones just suck. Changing weapons through "E" and "Q" was much better than that new freaking pipe on "Q".
Great music.

Not a bad game, at least if you know what you're doing. As far as the elevator and getting screwed, the melee weapon is a lifesaver in there.

Decent Game, the secret rooms between zombie/stinky bean levels can be accessed by destroying a red button on the roof, and then doing a running forward jump + backflip onto the left ledge. Just get the keycard and walk through the locked door. Jackhammer Shotgun kicks @$$

cool game, great ending. really liked the blood-splatter-as-health-meter concept. sure, it takes a while to unlock doors, but that just gives you a chance to play with all the awesome toys!

Its a decent game but the Zombie lvl should be shorter instead of constant waves....I'm just using a lead pipe and bashing em in and still havent finished the lvl...

WTF i have a brand new comp and when I try to load the game all i see is
Thing Thing 4 at the top
ive been able to play it at crazymonkeygames.com

protip: its not lagging because of they are running '1950's comps', it is actually something wrong in the game. In case you hadnt noticed this is FLASH not an actual game. And it lags the same on my 5 year old comp, and one from 3 months ago that i built myself, so i know its not a piece of shit.

sorry, to supplement the las comment, i should say this game needs more *badges*, i earned every one within a day of them being released. really want an impossible - perhaps beat on hard mode?

finally 100%!
great game, but the lasts lvls are sooo long, when you are very near to an enemy he doesn't do nothing and the sword should be overpowered
anyway 5/5

for those of you complaining about lag: stop it. don't complain about how a game from 2008 won't run on your 1950's IBM supercomputer, nobody wants to hear about it.
the game gets a 3/5, one star off for rarely loading correctly. the weapons system is a pain in the ass, i really didn't get used to it until after i finished the card. but the gameplay is good, except for a few things, such as damage. if you are stuck in an elevator with a guy that has a pancor jackhammer, you are screwed. simple as that. now for my shameless plugs: this game needs to load consistently, this game needs more cards, and I ROCK, I BEAT THE FINAL BOSS WITH THE CROWBAR!!!, no shit on that last one, i only had about 10 flachette rounds and 10 rifle rounds in him, then the spawn for the people froze, so i had to beat him with the crowbar - his rifle is so long that he cannot shoot you when you are close enough to use the crowbar, and he cannot melee you when you are right up against him.

God damn game wont load......tryed ever possable thing i could think of........ the screen will only be black with the chat panel next to it :/

The worst in series...What happened with the never-ending-ammo and the fast action? here you have a VERY limited ammount of ammo in a slow SLOW game, the heavy graphics make the gamme laggy.
The story is nice...but i totally agree with Astral Blades...the one hit KOs and the limited color spectrum make the game awfull.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Same old same old kinda buggy for me even when cutting down to low mouse hangs up and can't aim! very hard to kill when just shooting anywhere!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
fix the bugs man, the game makes you switch out weapons when you don't want to. too glitchy/buggy to give half a good score for a game genre that's been rehashed way too many times.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Incredibly tedious and boring. Unfortunately it looks like they're just going to keep remaking the same lackluster game over and over and over again, rather than try to come up with something different, original, and fun. Oh, and by the way, there are plenty of other colors in the visible spectrum besides red, white, gray, and black.
