People are complaining about this on normal, what would they think of Hard Mode. You need a lot of patience to finish it. Nice range of Guns, though How come no FN Minimi?

Agreed, skyline. My laptop is 2 years old and I have about a billion other programs running right now. Guess what? No lag!?!?!
If your computer doesn't run this without lag, it's because your computer sucks.

Saying this game sucks because of your computer can't play it and lag is like saying Solid Food sucks because you don't have teeth to chew it. Too bad, too sad, get some dentures or a new computer.

OMG are you kidding me. I just beat the helicopter after minutes of holding down the fricken mouse button and avoiding shit thrown at me, and when I die at the start of the forest, it resets me to before the boss battle...I hate you so much thing-thing

Yeah but my computer sucks. I'm talking it lags for 5 seconds when someone sends me a message on Steam chat >_> Countless deaths on 1.6 from that.

hahaha the reason its way hard is because the other ones were really easy compared to this one.
a little tip is to jump wen you start to see the toxic sign and this helps by not getting hit by bullets little or not at all

Story: A+ (haven't finished the game)
Speed: A+ (that means there's almost no lag on my crap computer simultaneously running BOINC and a billion other things)
Gameplay: A (Repetitive, although that's okay in some parts)
Overall: 5/5

Clearly, not everyone is enjoying this one, card status or not. The game itself is a departure from the series, much like the new Turok. We want megaweapons and lots of them. The challenge isn't the problem.

thing thing was the first game i fell in love for. and this is pretty disapoiting. the idea of the game was to be Fast paced, blood everywere, 6 kinds of weapons anytime, and thats thing-thing. the lag, the lack of control, the aim, i have to give it a 2/5. but yes, i am eagerly waiting for a thing thing 5, and hopefully, with a lot of improvement.

A health status bar would be nice -- makes it feel like sometimes you die pretty arbitrarily. Plus, why should it be harder to know how you're doing when you're playing against a red background?!?!!

I'm in agreement completely with all the "haters". This game genuinely just didn't make even half of the cut. Games are meant to be fun and enjoyable to play, while this ended up being similar to pulling my own fingernails out on the irritation scale. I also agree with CommanderPidgeon in the respect that the ability to carry hundreds of DIFFERENT weapons to just blast away whatever you desired was what made this series fun to begin with. Hell, I've seen the first few, and honestly think that this guy is capable of better game programming than he's showing. In my opinion, he's either starting to get lazy on the game's mechanics, or decidedly wanted to go more towards a cinematic appearance, like the madness flash series and such. Most players don't care for the story either, and should be granted a more effective "skip scene" feature, as well.

the damage display isnt bad whatsoever, i noticed it first hand (probably due to the fact that every new PC/console FPS uses this feature for a damage meter)
the lag, although it sucks at times, it is bearable on my computer, Im running this on a new highend Macbook Pro ($3000) and lag is hardly a problem....remember that the character graphics and the background backdrops are somewhat high-end for a flash game
gameplay is like the other thing-things, new features is little, which was my only complaint
after i get the card for this game, i probably wont come back and play it again, not that its a bad game or anything =D

Only carrying two at a time dissapoints. This isn't halo, and I loved thing-thing for pure noob blastability. You have now taken that away.
I can't even stomach the challenges, much less the full game.

Weasel, you dissappoint! 153 kills into thing-thing I am begging for an MMO grind session to end my misery. The game takes too damn long, lacks weapons, and is full of crappy aim (Which I would usually enjoy except for the fact I notice bullets colliding with mid-air enemies and hitting with a pipe while in mid-air and it tends to miss TOO OFTEN)

There is no level variety, all the guns are identical in their handling and vary only in power and rate of fire, and the combat is incredibly repetitive and dull.
So no. There's a lot to complain about in this game.

While I appreciate the effort that went into making this, I have never seen a game use so many system resources to produce backflipping emotes that ignore me while I repeatedly shoot them in the head with a magnum. Also for the record continually spawning enemies does not make the game more challenging, it makes it banal and redundant. I think there was a lot of potential gone to waste on this one, I couldn’t even stomach to play through enough to get the card, I’ll give it another run later though. 2/5 for effort and a slight fun factor, but otherwise fail

i loved all the other thing things...but this one just sucks...you need to put a REAL health bar instead of crappy red screen for health, be able to switch weapons easyer and use more then just 2 guns at a time...the game took me a couple page refreshs to load...um realy laggy when you get into combat...just alot of things wrong with this one, im sorry 1/5
