This is a great, enganging game! It does smell a lot like the Wings of War board game, but that's not a bad thing!
Things you could add include upgrades (improving ships and giving them different abilities), different types of ships to command and the possibility of managing your "team" with each mission. But generally speaking, good work! A solid 5.

for everyone who is wondering what linox said, "As others have said, with a few minor changes, this could easily make a great multiplayer game. Add in a timer, tighter turns, and it would work almost flawlessly. A range to see how much of an arc your guns have to fire in is something that would help. Options to buy different styles of planes would be a nice reward for completing levels with full stars, and possibly stronger guns for the later levels. The base behind this game is very original, as is the gameplay. Overall, this is a very good game. As such, I'll give it a 4/5. Great work. "

Feels too much like Critical Mass to play. Without all the customisation that made Critical Mass so awesome. Good game, but could be better.

Excellent multiplayer potential. The Bristol vs. Dart dogfights are challenging and fun, but the balloon/blimp/wing hunts are terribly dull and repetitive, and when the Bristols have gas, the game devolves into "run away and let the AI fly right through the gas".

Wow.
1946 was starting to aggravate me.
I kept trying to get around the planes but they were so fast that they would turn and another one would come up on my tail.
The description said something about a path needed to be cleared through.
So on my like 5th try I did just that.
I kept all of my planes in the original formation and flew straight through the other planes.
I made it through with out losing one plan.
I circled the formation around keeping all four planes in the same line and in that one circle I finished the level without one of my planes losing more than half health.
Sure that's only 1 star, but I expected to loes all my planes on the second turn.
So I'm happy. :P

I love it.
Takes skill, but it's not so impossible hard that it's not fun to play.
I do think that it you should be able to pick your planes abilitys going into battle though.
There are situations where I could really use a 180 and all I have are sheilds and speed boost. :/

Very good game, but could you add upgrades or make the powers on the planes choosable? It would be cooler if stars meant something.

Awesome game, but like I said before needs an upgrade system and now that I have finished it, I would also say that it needs an ending of some kind. A story would be nice too, but otherwise a good game. 4/5

Also think about adding bombing missions in a sequel, trying to destroy an airfield while avoiding enemy aircraft could be amazing

Very very impressive... As nearly everyone has said already, upgrades, plane choices, more maneuvers could make this pretty much the best thing ever...
