Er, taking back my previous statement. Make that a 4 as is and a 4.5+ with the error fixed. Just realized how long I've been playing, lol.

For everyone who is suggesting new weapons, the developer has already done so. If you play the bonus missions (you can only play them at armorgames.com), those 6 extra missions include planes with missiles and planes with bombs. Make sure to go check it out! ;D So don't worry, a sequel will definately have more weapons, if there is one.

Overall it's very good but that deal with the edge of the map is annoying as all heck... I've already lost two planes just because I told them to accelerate too close to the edge and couldn't undo my move because the cursor was gone. It's a very good game but there really should be a better way to handle the border of the maps, maybe have two boundaries: a smaller one for the planes and a larger one for the player's view and the cursors? (with the smaller one inside the bigger one). That way, it'd be easier for us to maneuver near the edge.

1946 seemed the hardest to me. The last two were sorta anticlimatic after fighting through '46, '47, and '48. However, I never needed more than two attempts (and that only twice) and got 32 stars on my first pass through. So arguably, the difficulty level isn't high enough.

Good game. I'd give 1 more star but for two annoying 'bugs'. If you accidently move your command underneath a figher, you can't correct it. Also, if you accidently issue an order to move off the map, you can't correct that either. You need a 'reset all' or similar command.

This game really reminds me of 'flight control' for the iPhone. A real-time version of this game could make for an interesting challenge

It is impossible to get no damage taken on EVERY level. I agree with everyone else who says there should be upgrades. Better weapons, engine/rudder upgrades for more speed and faster maneuvers, the ability to buy custom maneuvers, like zig zag, S turns, and at a certain rank you should be able to use maneuvers every turn. I mean that is what makes fighter pilots so dangerous, being able to out maneuver their opponents and a good pilot can pull off one maneuver after another. Also, this would be awesome in multiplayer.

Good game with huge potential. I agree that it needs an upgrade mechanic and some mission variety. Multi-player would also be awesome, but I won't hold my breath on that bit.

@Radec which in turn was inspired by Critical Mass, even says so on Shadow Armada's website, which I've played on and off for the last decade, luff Sean O'Connor, though Football-o-saurus was his only other epic game IMO.

Fantastic game; there are a few points people here made in comments that I agree with. An upgrade system to allow for better/different planes/weapons, bombing missions (get a bomber to a target on the map) fighting off escorts, ability to play on either side. Don't be scared to expand, you've definitely got a winning game plan, 5 stars. Keep up the good work.

Finally, a good airplane game on Kong. Kong has been plagued with poor flight games and finally we have a decent one. 5/5

use the 2 faster planes(boosting ones) to draw the behemoth's attention then get the other two to sneak round and shoot it's back, repeat

For everyone stuck on 1948 - the thing that makes it easy is how incredibly stupid the enemy fighter pilots are. Remember, they're behind you, and you've got poisonous gas to dispense.

TOM, just get behind it and take as little distance as possible. then turn off to the side and circle round again before you get ahead of it. its a long preocress but you dont get shot.
