I have an idea, telling the devs to work on shortening the energy cd isn't working. So instead let's propose this, how about a way to increase the maximum energy gauge. The cost of training goes up, so why shouldn't our energy?

poor execution... I am a fan of New Star Soccer, so i THOUGHT this would be much more enjoyable, seeing as the graphics, and UI is much more advanced.... Too bad the aiming/shooting feels terrible, the aiming "circle" can stay perfectly aimed as long as i want, but the shots randomly fly left or right. I won't be playing this game again.

relentlessly difficult. impossibly frustrating. a practice mode is necessary. we can't improve when we can only run drills when your stubborn energy system allows. which is maddeningly infrequent. opportunities to score need to be more common. you overestimate the entertainment value of watching text scroll during games. everything about this "game" is against the player from the start. I used some free kong kreds I had gotten to buy energy at one point, thinking that perhaps if I fed the beast some leniency might be given. no. still very few scoring chances. I get that you spent money on develpment, but you have sponsors all over the game... and paying to play any game on kongregate should be a beneficial option, not an absolute requirement. I WANT to like this. your vision is sound. your execution? lacking. take this back to the drawing board.

Just the energy system. I know as developers you want to give incentive to pay so you can earn some income. But waiting an hour to be able to do 1 training is a bit excessive.

the game -looks- amazing.
But... from the looks of it, it's a pay2play, nevermind 2win...
please... lower the stamina costs... or timer... maybe 5 minutes... that way, you can keep people playing with a sort-of flow, and still have the option of buying energy

i like this, but as everyone's been saying the energy system needs to get worked out so people don't get bored of the game. also, the coin and money system seemed a little hard to figure out, and i think it might be better if more items could be bought with both coins or money instead of one or the other. that way people can try to save up long enough to purchase them through hard work, or people who are willing to pay real life money can purchase extra coins to buy the special stuff

As a whole I love this game, but the energy system is a killer. The suggestions that come to mind are either make the energy refill more quickly or automatically reset to full after a match.

After timing out at all stars challange cant login to game no more. Its always says "authentication failure, please refresh".

masterclass training is impossible, energy system is stupid, the game is never going to get changed, might as well 1 star this and toss it.

+ for a slightly slower bar / cursor movement. Much to difficult to get a good kick and the curl system needs a revamp or a slow down too. Bend it like Beckham

First of all great idea and good on you to take games like NSS on. You are taking these type of games to a new level. There is a HUGE amount of potential and you are absolutely heading in the right direction.
Now some improvements. Introduce a free training in the beginning. I was completely lost trying some of the training ground stuff even with the instructions. I need to have a few goes before I make it count. Secondly as many have pointed out the enrgy system needs looking at. You dont want to bore ppl. Make it so they are within sniffing distance of something and we will pay to get over the goal line. Finally a bit more info on what all the bars and "stats" mean. Sure we can figure most of it out, but a quick manual wont hurt.
TBH i think this game could have hit the shops if it was a little more complete. Nearly too good to be on Kong :=)

I like the premise and the set up of the game. Its mostly functional although loading is quite time consuming. The energy thing is out there so i won't waste time on that.
Personally I'd like some clearer tutoring or a practice space because I can't for the life of me figure out how to curl shots properly or to dictate power/hight. I've played several footie games and that's never been a problem

you really need to work on the game's problem with kicking people out, it's really annoying to have to refresh 3 and 4 times to play the same match, also the energy system is terrible.

Here's a logically idea. Give us 3 options for match fitness. A low, medium, and high one before starting a game. So make the low option cost 20 fitness, medium 30, and high 45. This corresponds to how many scoring chances in the game there would be, 1, 2, or 3+ chances. Nothing pisses me off more than having 68 match fitness and getting 1 bad scoring chance.
Hi daggothnargil, you can reset the game :) Just pop us a "report an issue" form from within the game asking for a reset and our team will do the rest. Thanks!

Solution for the energy system:
Have "warmups" before training that help players improve their game. Better the warmup score, better the energy gain (even if the best energy gain is only 3, it will keep players interested).
Reason why a solution is needed:
Practice makes perfect and energy is scarce for training. Yes, players will get better and less energy will be required to pass training (thus decreasing the demand Red Bull). However, the non-gold buyers are just as important as they'll do the majority of rating this game. Currently, the energy system is hindering players to improvement, which will only annoy players and give the game 1/5. If your game is rated under 4 stars, then Kong will probably not provide Kong achievements, and thus no one will play this game beyond the group you have now.

So today I scored a goal, some minutes passed and authentification failed. I refreshed the page and OOPS your goal wasn't even counted and I have to shoot again from a different (harder) position. I didn't score, and authentification failed again. I refreshed again, but hey, the game counts your failed occasions!

@thampton I assure you that they have license to do that.
After playing the game for some days, I could say that energy system is fine, thinking about every movie and every new event, you need to do something to not finish them all quickly. And anyways, you can play 2 matches in a day, that's not so bad even though it sounds bad. :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree with others about the energy system, however I will say that if the energy system remains the same that the devs absolutely must lower the cost of the energy drinks. Also, be careful about using pictures of Red Bull unless you actually have a license from them to use images of their product.

authentication failure means you don't remember the goal i just scored but manage to remember the strike focus and better dribbling power up i used to score it? nice, real nice, in a game so plastered with adverts do you really need to rake even more from the people who play?

Think about it, your a developer that worked thousands of hours to create a game. Would you a) do charity, sell it at a flat price, knowing that more people can have fun playing your game. OR b) sell it with "energy" and "items" and know that although alot Less people will play your game, but you will be rolling in $$$$$$.
You can keep dreaming, and hoping these online games will adopt the "flat rate" approach, but it will never happen. Everyone is greedy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Joe_Mugnai obviously you don't understand how the online social gaming industry works. Their strategy of using "energy" "virtual items" is making them a TON OF $$$$, alot more then your proposed idea of "flat rate premium version"
I hope you understand that the "items" are indeed overpriced. BUT THERE'S A MARKET for it, and people DO buy them. If you look at the comments, everyone is complaining about "energy". But what you don't see is the amount of people emptying their wallet for the virtual goods. Unless people stop paying (which they wont, kids are really spoiled these days), games like this will continue to exist. The concept of selling attractive "virtual items" is a proven strategy and that's why ZYNGA is makes over billions.

I wholeheartedly agree with Joe Mugnai. I would pay a decent amount of real money if I didnt have to worry about energy or anything like that.

Would like to have like an "arrow arc" of my shot, sometimes I am dead on, the circle closes on the way i want it and my shot is waaay off. Cant seem to figure this out.

@M0ria, there are challenges after playing some matches. They are energy free, don't give you anything cool but they are a good way to practice.

idk if anyone else is having this glitch, but when it is on the loading screen, it loads to 79% then stops. ive refreshed any everything, does it every time. plz fix this bug
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I understand that game purchases help developers make better games and more games in general. I hope the devs understand that their game “items” are normally overpriced and don’t come close to matching the in game effort/time it would take to actually earn the “item”. I’d actually suggest that if devs really needed the funding, create a flat rate for a premium version of the game.
Say this:
You can play the time management version of the game here and purchase in game items with tokens via real money.
Or you can pay this one time price to unlock the premium version of the game which will allow unlimited play time. No waiting for “energy” or anything else to replenish over time. Other in game items will then be made reasonably achievable through playing the game and earning them.
