Oct 6. 12:46/8245 with all emitters capped. Spoiler Alert: Gather 4 power-ups and build 3 Blasters. Fly Blasters and Odin City to High Ground, capping emitter. Build a few reactors. Then move 2 of the blasters and cap the emitter on the upper left. Now you can build collectors on the whole upper left side and get the final power up. Then build some mortars and blasters and start sealing off all the emitters. Relay to the island below, move the 2 mortars and use 2 blasters to open a path to the final totem. Pictures available if you want them.

Fly-in with two blasters and full energy reserve was ok, but http://i.imgur.com/Cksm8Sz.jpg turned out faster for me (9:30). You need to keep the city in the air, and you might be able to get away with two blasters or one blaster + drone to be able to drop the city where indicated. Should be trivial from there.
To be really epic, it needs spores :)

Thanks dvShrike, this works. The drone has to be well hidden in the corner indeed. I am not sure two blasters are needed for this to work, I still did it with two as you suggested and ended in 18 min. I guess the level is beatable in 15 or less. I didn't care for the upgrades though as I think they're a waste of energy.

I thing this one is a bit harder than Sep18. I tried the bluesummer approach (fly a pair of blasters onto the upper high point just ahead of odin) but couldn't get it to work. I ended up building 2 blasters with a drone right in the corner and used it to bomb the platform ahead of Odin and the blasters landing. Was also able to snag the 3 rightmost upgrades at the start with up string of collectors up the side. Then it was easy with full cap at about 23 minutes.

Oct 6 can be solved like the one a couple of weeks ago. Build 2 blasters, fly odin and the blasters to the high point. Then expand.

To make it more challenging for me, I've been playing to cap all five emitters, starting with two mortars and three blasters, and then adding one blaster for each of the first two emitters capped. Drones are not allowed. Not every map is a challenge that way, but some sure are.

It's true that drones are great, but you should be able to beat Oct 3 well before the spores hit. I didn't rush that much and was pretty conservative and didn't bridge anything http://i.imgur.com/CsPuxLL.jpg

For people not wanting to finish level, PRESS on the Green Button, right at the game start. It will NOT send packets to totem poles, and not consume energy unless you're ready to go. I do that every level, since I don't want taking energy @ making push.

Just beat Oct 3 using only DRONES under 15 minutes. I've been receiving downvotes for my tips, so I suppose, if you go drones - use PAUSE a lot (P). Drones still do the most damage/energy AND are the most mobile ones.

@Pedro: You do know that you can turn off the generation of totem packets, right? Try clicking the green orb on Odin City.

UGGGGHHHH. ok i know this is my fault but still, there needs to be a confirmation message for beating the level once you activate all the totems. i set up a beast network for survival, took me like an hour or so, but then i accidentally expanded into a totem and forgot that it was the last one and i beat the level before i could test my network. Like maybe it should just pop up the message and if you say "no" then a button appears somewhere on the hud that you can click and it will again ask if you want to beat the level. just so stupid people like me can have some sort of protection from that lolol

The automatic survival mode is more than a bit irritating. I'm the type to slowly and methodically worm my way towards the portals, covering every inch with my network along the way. Kind of sucks to see all that disappear in a few seconds.

Sep29: Move to hill below, open with 3 collectors, rush 3 upgrade points -> blaster to secure the sprinkler. Should be cakewalk after that (did 14 min - ALL points secured).

@fojofjo Yeah, Survival Mode automatically kicks in after 60 minutes, or if you (accidentally?) click on that button. That makes it a wee bit more challenging. ( This is only the 2nd game on Kong that I broke down & spent some $$ on. It was & is well worth it!)

seriously, to the developer. There needs to be the option to watch as your advanced network is reclaimed by the creeper after Odin City escapes, and everything loses power. The would be so cool!

I was working on today's mission and an hour in it randomly activated survival mode... Well there goes an hour of ALMOST getting the last portal!

@HansRau : in the beginning, rush for the first upgrade then build a single line of collectors on the southern island. Once done, stuff this island with as many reactors as you can, saving space for just enough SAMs, 1 drone and 3 blasters. Don't attack the creeper until averything is in place on the island. Then make your way on the east path to the island north/east. Clean this island just before you arrive with the drone. Then you can build on more drone and more blasters to cap the 2 emitters on the top/right.
The rest is easy.

So, ah, yeah, 60 minutes and it goes into survival mode. Note to self, don't leave it running on double speed while doing laundry..

I do. I try to setup the perfect defense and see how long it takes for the creepers to overwhelm my strategy. Best run so far has been 2 hours, 42 minutes. After a while the network just cannot keep up with the demands, even with a ton of speed upgrades and drone attacks. After falling back twice the creepers took my main reactor farm and it was quickly over.

9/18 floated back and forth for 30 minutes, while building on the ledge. First few times I hit 60 minutes, and whamo! Wish I had thought of bluesummer's solution! Brilliant.
