April 2nd is a BMF. After three attempts, I got it with just mortars and blasters in 34:48.
I know it's possible to beat it faster, but every inch is such a fight!

April 2 is another hard Shadowbuild map. Did it in 43:49 on my second try (my first hit survival mode around a minute before I got the last totem). My suggestion: Do it clockwise.

@Stilgar85, After having observed the natural flow of the creeper on March 30 when staying left-top i replayed and at start moved Odin city to center. It's tricky but just enough time/space/energy to make it.

@Stilgar85, March 30 what a great day. i did same thing: stack top full of reactors, produce weapons and disarmed stash. then blast open channel (biblical style) and connect. be sure to deactivate them or they deplete you on link up (oops! :)

@Raceandski, I actually did send 6 or 7 mortars to the center island and had them disarmed. I built them up for when I was ready to make my move to the valley so I would not need to build them. In order to beat the creeper back I used a number of drones and kept bombing till I was able to get a small patch in the valley then quickly moved my mortars in to secure it. I did use several reactors.

Ah, I love March 30 as well. It was nice to sweat a bit. You can do it without reactors, but I had to move the base to be able to do it.

Mar 30 appears to be impossible with a strict Shadowbuild. I needed reactors to get off the island ;( The only possibility I saw was a psychotic level of mortar micro out to the center island 'might' work.
Anyone get it?

These games are so amazingly fun! I've wasted countless hours in them - but I still cringe when I hear that knuckle *crack* sound! haha! Help support this amazing series and buy the full games - which are *MUCH* more amazing! :)

Mar 28 can be done without Blasters - Just Collectors and Mortars ("Stooferbuild"). How many others can be done that way?

HIGHLY effective tactic, especially in shadowbuilds:
Mass a large number of blasters with full energy (mortar support too if there's some good deep zones to take the heat off) then rush them all straight at an emitter that doesn't have support from other emitters (mortars are useful there). They will overpower the creeper already present and then will have the energy reserves to cap the emitter long enough for you to get a collector chain to it.
March 27 all green, all capped, 30:40.

March 27th is another great map for a Shadowbuild (Nothing but Mortars, Blasters, SAMs and Collectors). Without moving the base, I got 33:56 with all emitters capped. Give it a try.

The "Longest Mission Time" is the high score for survival mode - it is measured in seconds. Whether you manually jump to survival mode or wait the hour, the time gets set to 3,600 (1 hour) when survival mode starts. But you have to win for the score to be counted... so you have to eventually escape

You're doing it wrong if you can't beat that map in under 1:10. I've done it with only three nodes. Not to hard.

I notice after an hour, it auto-starts survival mode.
I was still attempting to beat the level, so I just shoved more turrets to the front and kept plucking away for another hour... just one more relay...

Dammit, this game is too easy now, there are only so many self imposed challenges you can make while still keeping the game winnable. 4 minutes on today's challenge, 6 minutes with no blasters. And I know I could bring those times lower if I played the map over again. This has easily been my favorite game on Kong, but.... I don't think it has anything left for me :(

For today mission, try use single mortar on map and one blaster per emitter and take 99% of map. Blasters can fire only from its final position near emitter, can not any more once it is there.

Finally. After playing for so many days my total playtime is about 1 whole day. God, such a waste of my good life ... well, one more, one less, Im going for the second day.

Monday, March 11th 2012 was pretty easy. I got it knocked out in 3:23. I believe that was my third playthrough.

I always end up continually starving, but I never want to stop expanding for long enough to solve the energy deficit. Very Malthusian.
