today was awesome because i messed up, i was focusing on the bottom of my base making a 'power plant' in the low area when i looked up and saw the top had been over-run with creep nearly touching my ship. despite my best efforts my base couldn't be saved and i lot everything but two S.A.M.s, i fled to the bottom right of the map and instead of giving up and retrying i pushed back, rebuilt, and won... took over 40 minutes but it was the most fun I've had playing this game yet...Dec 4

@DarkerCheese: Deficit. Every unit you build requires energy, either for building it, or to fire. If Odin City does not have packets, or cannot send them out fast enough, then the demand for packets that cannot be met is called the deficit. If you need more, come to the Knuckle Cracker forums. There is a lot more there.

Really cool game!
I would love to give 5 stsrs but no, because of the auto survival mode.
I played for like an hour with a huge base and i didnt try to win because i loved to just keep going with the same base, but then suddenly the survival mode comes and destroyes my base! :(

In the description it says that odin city may be lost but history will remeber your valient stand. If odin city is humanity's last hope for survival, how exactly will anyone remeber anything.

Hmm a bug? When I'm in 2x speed in survival and hit pause and resume, it looks like the game timer comes back at 1x. I have to hit slow and fast again to get the timer back in sync.

It's been October 14th for quite some "today"s - perhaps you should instead say one level a week and then just update from time to time?

You can survive forever in surviver mode without building anything... Just move Orion-city, and never let it set foot on the ground.. Doesn't matter if it's all covered with creepers, because the city is flying above them and can't take damage. Remember to change destination and just move the city from one side to the other.. :S

Mmm, it looks like emitter output, as it increases, also increases the chances that a creeper emitter will swell, and how far out it will swell. Prepare for this when placing blasters by having some that you are prepared to lose, and a second or third ring behind them.

Ok, with survival mode, we definately need a "super speed" button. After an hour of setting things up, I want to know how long my creation will last, in less than 5 minutes. Also seems to run a bit slow once I have the screen filled with my reactors and speed nodes.
I'd also like to be able to turn off survival. The auto-on at 60 minutes is kinda mean unless you are really, really prepared for it. Ruins some of the nice slow-paced crushing ultimate win feeling.
Finally, why not have a "maximum emitter output" for highscores? I wanna know how well I my base did compared to others.

Oddly enough, if you have absolutely disgusting energy storage, energy generation, AND a huge energy drain, you get small amounts of energy deficit. Odin can't serve out the energy fast enough, I guess? (Tested with 540 storage, 39.6 generation, 23 drain (plus or minus 2). I really wanted to "win" survival mode.)

Santa, you are lying or misread the time.

@Ierin, its never done that for me and i usually go into the 80min mark maxxing out all my speed and production and making my delivery system as efficient as i can so ill be ready to go far into survival

Not very long-game freindly.. survival mode (A.K.A. assisted suicide mode...) turns on auto maticly at the 60:00 mark :/

OMG... survival, easy pie i thought... but no no... survival is for the fittest... a real nightmare, target: 15 minutes of survival mode... current status: still not achieved.
