When there is a solid wall of creeper that has reached the heigh limit, I think you have beat survival mode... Yay for a solid wall of blasters!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@brentfail yeah pretty much - drones are pretty much just better than mortars (except that drones need to be used manually so if you don't like microing stuff then you should stick to mortars). The few cases mortars are better than drones blasters are usually better than both, so just using blasters and drones usually works the best.

Little tips for making this game easy
firsh take as many point as you can get...
second take a defendsive... on a right place
third make a generator... 5-10 of them
Attack!!!! more generatorr !!! WIN!!!
Note:don't let your deficit more than 15 or you will get a hard time.
second note: make a lot of generator, fire drone at a place that a lot of creep in there duar the creep will fall back and that that point that will give a little time for your gun to relord...
if won another tips talk to me in my profile okay (i am un beat on survival mode)

I make a base for about 30 minute... survive mode!!! 10 minute leter... creeper has no damage to even 1 of my building 20 minute same. 30 same go to shower back same 60 same oh my ... so booring tuing my computer shut down... damn the creeper are hacking to my CPU hate that!

i spent 45 minutes setting up base and placed four blasters and a mortar next to each emitter. I covered what ground i had with defence lines and fallback lines of blasters. I also had six drone bases. I clicked survival. I died within 10 minutes.

I just managed to push the creeper back and win on survival mode using drones and mortars and a stupid amount of generators
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@brentfail-yes you can make it passed 600, I made it up to 730 emitters and I had no idea what I was doing. Im willing to bet if someone took the time to figure it all out they could make it passed 900 or 1000 even if they planned it right.

@filthrog Thanks so much for the pic and the suggestions. I got the collector reactor thing down to save space just like you do. The greatest suggestion you had for me that I need to incorporate is the use of massive amount of drones. I've been capping out drones at around 8-12 because of the need to target them individually. The other big thing I've been doing is building storage for about 500 in energy reserves. I can see by your pic though that having that additional space free vastly outweighs the benefit of having energy in reserve. Thanks again for the great advice and good gaming! Have my sights set on breaking a 1000 emitters as my new goal

@duke476
in all other renditions of creeper world, it is as you describe: there is no auto-'survival' mode. this version is actually FIXING the flaw. (p.s. creeper world 2 you get to destroy the emitters once and for all)

I think this game could be improved with only an optional survival mode, for example after some amount of time it could have a pop-up that asks if you would like to activate it, while having the ability the whole time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
at about 60 minutes a shit load wipes you out like impossible to survive it and most times i go real slow and then it kills me all the sudden
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
first time in survival i lasted 1 minute it says you have made a valiant stand 2nd time i last 113 minutes it says you have made a valiant stand? haha
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it would be nice if i could turn survival on ONLY when i wanted to i relly dont like it when it just turns itself on and destroys all my hard work maybe hell try and change that? that was my only problem with the game otherwise 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000/5

@ brentfall It's possible to last well past that if set up properly - the key is to use lots of drones, and position your blasters well to make sure htey do not shoot creeper they do not have to. Drones are the most energy efficient at killing high densities of creeper (trust me on that one - you can find the math done on that somewhere on the knucklecracker forums), so you want to find a way to spend as much of your energy as possible on drones.
http://i.imgur.com/CRZZE.png - the map I did this on was Nov. 18, 2011, I lost control of the map at about 1250 intensity but dragged it out to about 1350. Another small thing to notice is that I position my buildings like collector-> reactor -> collector, instead of directly connecting the collectors to save space. Most of my blasters are positioned that they will only fire just when the creeper overflows the higher terrain.

the main problem with survival is how, after setting up innumerable defences, EVERY SINGLE SECOND takes about five, so by the time you get to about 500 emiters, you're so bored you disable all ammo packets to see what happens
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Anyone able to make it to 525-600 emitters in survival? I've found that no matter how well laid my plans things start going downhill really quickly once you hit 500.

I think that the greatest addition to this game would be the ability to build units to fight the creeper with. It's an awesome game, though. 9.5/10

Survival time: little over an hour so far, no bombing raids yet and only lost 1 blaster so far. Total forces: 128 reactors, 24 drones, 4 mortars, 87 collectors, 50 storage, 35 speed, and 88 blasters.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the survival at 60 mins is bull..... i like to kill it all and hold it at the emiters before i beat a level survival should be optional think i just lost intrest thanx again for an awesome game but that is bull
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you want to try the survival, stupid amounts of drones are needed. like 15+, as you need near constant bombing sorties on the emitters.

Pro-tip: When you base gets too large and you need to get rid of lag - Push the anti-lag button! (a.k.a. "Survival mode")

@LaBaDa-Suddenly, you glance down and notice that your starvation level is 100. You barely manage to utter a cry of "OH SHI-" before you get flooded. Happy Mortar Spamming.

Survival Mode doesn't deactivate the totems? Went into survival, ended up getting the totems charged after that...Odin left and game ended. 30+ min wasted setting up to not get to see it through. =(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Hilscher: You can activate survival mode at any time, so I'd suggest a prompt for survival mode after activating totems. Or maybe let us keep playing after totems are up, letting up hit survival mode after we're actually ready.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Suggestion: Confirming Survival Mode requires that you activate all totems to begin, so that the mission is marked as having been completed when you die. Don't make me choose, you're tearing this family apart!

@Xysier920 I agree with your "challenge mode" idea....it would be awesome to expand the game kind of like the original X-Com...where you have to build bases around the entire Earth and recruit soldiers. That way you could incorporate different units, upgrades, and technology research into the game. How awesome would that be?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"Odin City will be lost, but history shall not forget your valiant stand!" Challenge Accepted.

20 min survived, easy. Hardest part was muddling through extreme lag that made 20min in game time more like 40 min real time. Also, there is a pic of a glitch? I had 72 Energy, a Collection Rate of 43.1 and a Depletion Rate of 23, yet the game gave me 10 Deficit? Was very annoying...
