12/02 is good for the "Rain King Challenge" -- no base movement, no drones, no reactors. My approach was to quickly control the choke point to the right of the base with two blasters, while using a mortar to control the creeper from the large pool. Those three weapons were enough to hold off the creeper long enough to build up a collector network to support them. After surviving the first wave of spores I was approaching energy self-sufficiency, then the rest was pretty straightforward. 21:42 https://s.put.re/wgJbRmo.png

37 minutes, 12/02, but on the bright side, I was pretty sure I was going to end up drowning very early on. The high ground is lovely.

I really badly want to beat 11/30 nbm, if anyone has beaten it, please share the strategy, I can survive a little more than 2:30, then I lose. thats it for my nbm though.

iMiPi: Good to read your words sir. I have still been playing, but not posting as much. It is good that there is new blood to continue evolving the game following.

sorry for spamming. The way to survive the longest is to keep Odin City flying here and there and never touching the ground.

oh wait, it starts with 100 emitters, then goes up. I thought the longer you waited before jumping to survival, the more emitters. But nope! So, never jump to survival until you've established a CONCRETE DEFENSE.

I was playing a map for an hour or so (cuz I suck) then I was like, "Hey, let me try the survival mode!" Then, I got sweeped to death by 110+ emitters. I thought I could cope, but the emitters keep increasing. "Oh DRAT! What am I gonna do now? I utilized all my spaces and couldn't build anymore firearms!" I panicked for about 3 minutes before the creeper tsunami hit Odin City and I failed.

Right. It's really been a long time. Enough to forget air power only, even though that's one of the most fun challenges :)

aronbon, using your advice I finally did beat NBM for 11/23. Thanks! 22:07 but I wasn't going to stop short of complete suppression after that struggle! https://i.imgur.com/DNyUwiI.png

Hey guys. I miss you. This year I have mostly way too much stuff to do, so last time I was here was 4/19. Bozotic, you reacted to my comment on 4/20, but I didn't come back to see it then. Really sorry about that. Now I don't even know what was that challenge about. I used the APC abbreviation. What's that? Those comments ordered by time are now the 349th and 350th before I post this.

Thanks aronbon, it seems like investing in a 3rd blaster to protect the base might just work, if I can survive the spores :)

11/23 i meant (5 collectors, 1 blaster)x(3 times). then once you have occupied the space up you can build a mortar to complete your defense. For the first spores you won't have SAM's. but once you survive this you're in very good condition.

11/23: you can build 5 collectors, then one blaster. then 5 more blaster and one more collector. the trick to survive spores is to create a sufficiently connected network of collectors so that it stays connected even after spores destroy 1-2 of them.

I can't find any way to survive NBM for 11/23. Just not enough energy available soon enough with 4 emitters swamping the city.

11/12 is a fun level for the RKC -- no base movement, no drones, no reactors. Finished in 32:51, but I'm sure it could be done much faster. https://imgur.com/GNECqvB
