1/23 1:30, but there's a few seconds that can be trimmed off that. Really dropped the ball on the 22nd, didn't think it was that easy :)

Not amazing on the 22nd. Tried again with 4:47 (one drone run, 5 blasters) but did the same thing: grab 3 techs lower left and hit the right middle plateau after droning the bottom right gully a bit past 3 minutes. 3.5 power out of just collectors, really should be able to make that last link faster.

You can chop off a second by filling the farther collectors while building the collector to the nearest one. Probably another if you don't waste 2 packets that don't arrive at their destination :) http://i.imgur.com/zSJdXpP.jpg

1/19 with just Reactors, Relays, and Mortars. The spores bit hard with no defenses, but eventually prevailed at 32:06.

Probably means 1-18 or 1-19 both of which are relatively flat with spores on the latter. There's two options for either, make some weaps then stake out a claim on the high area near the spores and totems or hang back and build (get power to 6 or 7 before you start assaulting). Oh and on 1-18 you can keep the plateau you start on creeper free with just a blaster for a long time. I didn't bother to finish, but II'd ballpark it at 7 minutes for a decent time on the 18th, maybe 5 minutes or so on the 19th depending on how feasible grabbing the plateau from two spawners is :)

KXI Systems: If you look below you will see 2 posted times of 3:56 and 5:00 minutes. These were done by 2 of the better regular players. I took about 5.5 minutes. HINTS: Look at moving Odin City near the orange power-ups immediately. Keep your Energy meter and Deficit meters near zero if at all possible while performing your builds. Don't let the Deficit meter get too negative. That usually indicates you are overbuilding. Also, when hawk45 is kind enough to post a picture, study what he did to get clues on good building practices. Good luck.

1-16 5:20 and I guess I didn't have to move the city at all (it helps a little, especially since exit point is on top of the totem nearest the creeper spawns and it's pretty easy to bridge). One drone, 5 blasters and a maze of collectors.

Here is a slightly faster time for yesterday's mission, 1/14- 5:41. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=28sab8m&s=5#.UtboY9iA3cs

aranbon - There is no wrong or right way to play the game. I usually play without reactors. Other times I'll play with blasters as the only weapon. The hardest version for me is mortars only and no pause at double speed.

1-14 The right side is easy to build 3 power worth of collectors, but keeping that connected... So restart and move to the center plateau (there's only one place to dump the city), grab 2 upgrades. I threw up reactors and a drone. Blasters can knock out the spores, just leave places so they cover all your stuff (build but don't charge, fly around if out of room). After spores, assault and bridge, I got 6:20. Wouldn't be surprised at 5 :)

1/14 - 10:52 in 1 attempt for me aronbon. I'm sure hawk45 will be well under 10 minutes. I'm guessing 7 minutes for that whizkid.

Most of the time collectors are preferred over reactors. A single reactor generates roughly the same amount of power as three collectors, but requires 10 more energy to build. By comparison, three collectors built in series would take ~8.3 seconds less time to complete and would generate an additional ~5.0 energy before the reactor would be constructed (not accounting for the path length).

Yep, the shorter path definitely helps. But I generally switch over to reactors once I'm generating energy faster than I can use it to build collectors (you don't want to have excess/unused energy).
