everythings so fuzzy on high :/ i love arkanoid though this is great. pretty basic, but a good start. kinda weird to have multiple clicks to buy 1 but you get used to it.

for me the auto seems to be a moron. even i have very high upgrades, this AI is stupid as hell... once the ball is in a corner with very straight fall, the game ist lost on automatic. I had it now running for 1h, and the highest it was able to reach was level 5... i have automatic intelligent on max, speed is very high, padle size and ball speed also very high... worst ai ever.

Something that I've noticed is that when the ball hit's the top, it will descend at double the speed it goes up, probably something to do with makeshift gravity effect, but it shouldn't have that much force, the resistance from the up would not make it hit the ceiling hard enough to ricochet it back at full or double force.

I've noticed that sometimes the paddle will bounce the ball and it hits exactly between 2 bricks in the first row and ONLY shows up as a hit on the brick in the back row. This is easiest to see when the auto in engaged and the paddle is sliding slowly from one side to the next, with the ball going almost straight up and down.

I'd be pretty much parroting everything everyone else has said so far. But I would add that earning a trophy should net you a reward. The progress is just too slow. And after level ten the bars reset... which isn't an improvement. The levels need to be full to earn anything quickly enough to lose to your mind. We need those big combos. Cuz 10 points per bar just isn't enough .

Auto intel maxes at 10... still playing the safest route. Intelligence should mean that the auto paddle knows which way to direct the ball to actually hit the bars, instead of just bouncing up'n'down throughout the field until it hits something. Not much intelligence there.

Its fun for the first like 30 minutes but the progress is too slow especially for the auto mode.. i usually enjoy idle games but this one just doesnt work for me
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The "ball speed" upgrade is most times a negative upgrade if you are using auto mode, and you can't reset upgrades. If we could set the ball speed between 1 and max purchased, it would solve the problem with only a few lines of scripting

Great, leaving it on auto doesn't do much. Eventually it just gets stuck in a loop before I get a good amount of BB. So, until these loops are fixed, this can't be called a solid idle game.

30 years ago, there was this game called Arkanoid ... it was running on 8-bit computers, often with less than 30k available memory.
It had better graphics, better music, better sounds, better levels, ... it has more features and most of all it had far better gameplay.
Puting just "upgrades" into very basic layout and untested gameplay doesn't make it good game.
But you're quite responsive DEV so I hope it will get better.
Sorry for some of the bugs, I've learned all the programming by myself so it is a bumpy road. I had big plans for the upgrades to make it a completely different game but it appears I missed the mark. Thanks for the feedback.

Improve the auto mode if you want to call this an idle game. Make it so it automatically starts up again after losing the ball, and when losing all balls. Make it so it actually is an idle game. Then I'll come back to it.

Points take way too long to accumulate. You should add a point (BB) upgrade so it becomes easier to accumulate points.

so much things are so .. weird.. like how each time ball speed resets when it hits the paddle, and speed up when hitting the ceiling; Auto but no Auto for dead...;buttons; launch speed and auto works contradictive; AI upgrade? what does it do?

It would also be nice if I could read all the words.. very hard to read them they are soo jumbled together, fix please?

It'd be cool to be able to set the "speed" at which the auto paddle goes side to side by getting it to hit a little bit father from the center. Good for when we have higher auto paddle speed.
This is basically the method auto intel uses to slow the ball horizontal speed. Shoot me a message with what you were hoping this would accomplish and I'll see what I can do.

Can't buy/upgrade anything. Right click just opens the flash menu. Also, every upgrade in my game seems to be missing price values.
I apologize, the buy system is confusing. I updated the game to include boxes around the buy 1 and the buy max which are the 'buttons' that you need to click. Hopefully the game is more clear !

I've gotten stuck in the corner a few times, and can't get out without a death. This shouldn't happen. I think it has to do with making your paddle width and play area a prime number of pixels, and your physics similar. Without that more pseudo random element being generated you get a lot more repeat systems even if the paddle is altered. Maybe more sensitivity in the paddle position as well. Interesting concept, but I think it needs work.

I noticed when using a wider paddle on auto, the AI is more likely to lose control of the ball. This is due to the ball hitting close to the edge of the paddle on the sides. Would it be possible to lower the paddle width after upgraded? https://gyazo.com/15f58aa2d6f7a4de3387a60c7ded3df1

On later stages (15+) you can clearly see the ball going faster if it hits the ceiling. Auto paddle cant do anything at max intel because it keeps the ball in almost straight line movement which makes auto progress really slow.

I entered a perfect loop for my ball with Pad-int 5 and Pad-speed 3, either way, try give the ball some random patterns so the pad can't make a perfect shot all the time, or build in a fail-safe when it haven't hit anything for x amount of time.

reset doesn't reset the level, just your money, you stay stuck at whatever level you were on. Also, I stay stuck when I lose all my lives. The game doesn't restart.
Make it so you can't buy an upgrade level more than once. I bought auto move level 1 five times before realizing it only registers it once

I've got the ball stuck moving between the bottom right and top left corner endlessly, with no way to change its trajectory. Meaning I have to lose a life even though I hit the ball every time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't seem to buy anything. When I click on the buy button ( which looks like the buy max button a "0" shows"). I've got 520 BB and can't buy anything.

The paddle can get stuck on either sides sometimes, resulting in a loss when you're autoing. Can be unstuck removing auto and using keys.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've been experiencing the ball and the paddle having rather jerky movement and sometimes the paddle doesn't seem to respond to the arrows. It also took me a minute to figure out the right clicks to purchase an upgrade. Not sure if that's lack of coffee, but a little extra info in the beginning would be nice.
I'm not sure what may be causing the error with controls, possibly if you click outside of the game window.
Also I wanted a short tutorial as it seems they are often skipped, that's why there is not enough explanation on how to purchase upgrades. I apologize and thank you for your comment.

Auto requires manual start each time the ball is dropped. Initial paddle speed on auto is so slow it almost guarantees dropping the ball after knocking out one brick. (If that many.) Escalating cost of BB's for paddle speed is rather steep, making the automatic portion of this game way to much work to get started for something advertising itself as an "idle" type game. So, we have a rather bland break out game. *shrug* Perhaps an adjustment of marketing.
Thank you for your well thought out comment. I can do some tinkering on the idle paddle price, I wanted to have manual control be a bit of an advantage at the start as a reward. Also, if you go to settings there is an auto launch feature. I apologize that this is not more clear.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is it just me or does the paddle speed increase if you move further? it feels like it accelerates and doesnt have a constant speed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
auto paddle is bought with auto speed not intelligence, however the speed is so slow on auto you just die, maybe fix it so auto speed 1 is same as manual speed
