Actually, he dies. Did you not see the boatman reflected on the water? He's going to his death. The bird lied all along, and even told Pete so near the end. The huge lady in the sky told him to do the oposite of what the bird was telling because she didn't want him to die.
Plus, it ends with him fading into a white light. Sure, someone says "you're opening your eyes", and "I'll see you soon", that's just some final comforting thoughts.

@shaedo you're absolutly right. This, along with The Company of Myself, ImmorTall, and little wheel would all go into their own catigory. I hope games with deep meaning stay alive on kongregate forever!!

...so let me get this streight, its a side scroller and it has locations...it may sound like overkill but this game is great the way it is.

i forgot to say i fell into coma once. i was in coma for 2 years, and i assure you you can remenber the dreams you had.. but the most mysterious part of it is that when you waka up everything has changed... the buildings, the family... for the first 3 weeks you just cant believe you were in coma for that much time, but its so. this game expresses the complete randomness of coma....

absolutely genius... wesome game... love playing all the way... it is kind of a jigsaw, but very,very nice :D. piece of art... it is only what i have to say ... btw... @FlamesNX i believe that your story is correct... if you pay attention to the game it really comes out that story ;)

mokkas, pete woke up from his coma. and qwertyyy, a coma is being unconcious for a long period of time and being unable to wake up. It can last days, weeks, months or even years to wake up from one.

If no one understood the game here is an explanation.-The game was about a person who was put into a coma and this was his world in his dreams. Mother Gombossa was the coma or death trying to keep him from waking up. Jon, Pete's father, Fatty Fatcakes and Gombossa were just random people in his world. Bird was pretty much your sister the whole time through out the whole thing. The Dore Bell was the button to wake you up from your coma. Pete was the person who was in the coma and just wanted to see his sister going through all of these obstacles just to wake up and see his sister.
