While the story was interesting insofar as it went, the imagery was poorly connected to what was supposedly happening to the hero, and nothing in it really developed. The end came abruptly and for little reason, many of the apparent story arcs were never fully played out, and all-in-all I felt that a chance had been wasted. Never mind the game's lovely haunting atmosphere, it's covering up for a woeful lack of substance and extremely weak platform adventure gameplay. Next time, a story that can be followed would be better, especially if it could have the pleasant duality of being linkable to what is happening to the 'real' hero in his coma.

i think pete was originaly in a comma. So to hit his head agian on the door bell to wake him up too see his sister thats what i got out of it.

beautiful gameplay, interactions, storyline was one of a kind, in one word to describe this game would have to be epic.

To add to my own comment, I believe that the figures in the house are actually all of the loved ones watching over Pete as he is in the coma.

@REALISE, That's actually exactly what went through my head after playing the game. The only thing that puzzled me is there is a figure in the house at the beginning that remains unidentified and I couldn't get a grasp on who it was supposed to be.

Roger Ebert can suck it, video games can absolutely be art - this was a stunning example of exactly that. Bravo, wittyhobos.

A beautiful yet confusing game, trying to find everything was tough... I do like the story behind it though. Its quite sad, which is probably the reason I find it to be so beautiful.

After I beat the game, I played the piano and I think I broke the triggers. Other than that, a lovely little game with beautiful scenery, good job at making it so immersive despite its simplicity. The point was a bit too deep for me, but I get lost easily. Still, five stars for combining a good narrative with simple gameplay, resulting in a game of higher quality than most on this site.

much too much darkness coupled with the protagonist being all black makes for alot of confusing jumping around. some kind of artistic story? seems like an exuse to have only like 9 lines of text (that mean nothing) in the whole game. 2/5
P.S. graphics are very nice otherwise.

I wonder if the fact of remembering a father who mistreated you while you're in a coma is a reference to Ayreon's "Human Equation".

i thouth the brid was a total jerk but he lured you to the basement so you can ring the door bell i thought the flesh part was creepy :D

Beautiful graphic, nice sound track, decent idea. However, not crazy about having to use the arrow keys with the mouse, wasd would work better, and this game doesn't really make you think like the title and description leads you to believe. 4/5

It's a touch creepy, but in the way that Submachine is creepy: you aren't told anything, and just have to do stuff...

Brilliant... brilliant in everyway... It doesn't deserve a rating, becuase its soo good...
Everything seems so simple, and it is short, but thats the beauty of the game.

Uhhhh, what was that? Anti-climactic, boring, I had a hard time with the backward moving thing (I think it was just me though). And what was that ending?

the overall presentation, artwork, aesthetic, is pretty wonderful. I wish the gameplay elements matched up to that; in general i don't believe that gameplay necessarily has to be Stellar to support the journey of the story (Loved), but in this case i feel like the gameplay elements are incomplete and could use some tweaking to help elevate the overall to a higher level. 4/5.
