I see people saying that his father figure in this, is actually his father, and that he's abusive. Way I see it, he's part of his determination to wake from the coma. Fatty fatcakes was blocking the way to continue through his mind, and his dad told him to pop him. If you'd said no when he asked you to, He would say "If you don't, I'll kill you." Which shows that if he isn't going to go further, he'll stay in a coma, and die.

Dore is actually not a mis-spelling.
It's a throwback to alice in wonderland where alice meets the dourmouse.
Which is double-throwbacked to learning french, which was one of the original alice's classes, dour means to sleep, and the mouse was always sleeping. Today's Alice In Wonderlands neglect that though and make the dourmouse all lively.
The dore bell is the sleep bell. I don't know if that means he fell asleep and died, or woke up because he pressed it...

This game is so deep. I cannot play this without feeling something new, or without discovering some detail that helps it make more sense. This is a top notch game, and I Thank wittyhobos (love the name :3) for making this.

Awww. Really enjoyed playing the game, it was a real entertainment. Loved the music, and how the flowers moved when you were crossing the field :] The atmosphere was absolutely awesome! I have to play this once more. ^^ Otherwise, the feelings you have during the game cannot be written down. So deep, so complicated. Masterpiece.

I get it now the dad is the docter because he told pete what to do to help that person that was cloging the pipe.The birds the petes mom who is trying to wake him up.The boys mom that was in the clouds was the nurse telling petes mom not to worry.Great game :)

Now, I almost shat my pants when I read Mr.Hedge's comment. This game, on top of the great platforming and light puzzle element, goes as deep as to delve into things like that. This game deserves a 10/5.

For the basement where the bird says"I lied to you" there should be some small black blobs on the ceiling and floor.Collect those things and a small light 'portal' should appear.Go through the portal and collect the black things again.Once all the blobs are gone go to the small space on the bottom of the screen,left of the 'guts' in the middle(you have to break the bridge to get there).Then jump ontop of the small fruit so it splats and touch the flashing "dorebell".Or you could always use a walkthrough...

how the hell do i move on from the secret basement, there are tons of comments repeating how beautiful this game is (it really is), but how about you guys actually answer some posts and help the rest of us finish the game :(

this game is very creative and i cannot even try to say how exquisite this story is and how someone would know how to do this kind of thing. i just cant imagine how hard it would be!!! this is my new very favorite forever game on kongregate. so everyone, why dont we all just give a HUGE round of applause for the creator of this wonderful, emotional, and traumatizing game.

This is one beautiful game, but I may have found a glitch. I'd played the game before on armor games and decided to try some things. Playing the song before you learn it, won't work. The big thing I found was that I wanted to see if I could make the game impossible to complete. I tried to squash the fruit and miss the "dore bell" to see if the fruit would forever stay squished but I found it actually reforms. The problem was that Pete went flying and never came back down. :( Let's not die this time, huh Pete?
