@nbvdr106 I was not spamming, I was stating my review of the game. I adore the game, it's not my fault that people don't appreciate longer comments and take the time to evaluate other people's opinions.
And to reply to your comment: Perhaps he did, but I think it is pretty amazing to use a video game as an art form, which is rarely done, and done as well as this.

Now that that's out of the way...
I don't have much input on the meaning of it all, but I'm wondering... Why did the author (I say author because this is beautiful, artistic, poetry, not just a game) choose to put it all in the form of a game instead of a short story or poem or something? I just thought I would put that out there for you to think about.

Jon and the invisible child in the tree might be other personalities of Pete, as MrHedge64 stated, but as they were not very dominant characters in the game, one cannot be certain. Mama Gomboysa represents somene in league with his father, someone who doesn't really want him to wake up, or maybe a part of him who doesn't wants to remain asleep.

The river was clogged up, and Pete was asked by the father to unclog it. Fatty Fat Cakes is what Pete thought of himself subconciously, due to abuse. The father already assumed Fatty Fat Cakes was the problem, and proceeded to tell Pete to stab him with the fishing hook to cure the problem. That references that Pete's father used abuse to try to "fix" Pete, that it is naturally Pete's fault and deserved to be punished. "I'll kill you if you don't." that line doesn't help the implied abuse which may or may not have been the cause of the coma. Fatty Fat Cakes is simply expecting abuse at this point (no pun intended xD), as he assumes he is the problem.

I think the bird represents his sister; who he obviously had a very strong connection with. The bird led him through his travels, trying to help him get to the basement. The basement was said to hold his sister, I think it means that it held reality, life which had his sister in it. "This world is a lie." The bird said that it was meant to be a secret, that father had refused to allow her to linform Pete of the whereabouts of his sister, of the way to wake up.

My observation of this game is very similar to some of these in some aspects. I do not think Pete died. The fact that he was in a coma is fairly obvious due to the game's title, but I do not think he died. The boat does indeed appear to be very similar to greek mythology tales, in which the ferryman rows you to the underworld. I think that although that is a possibility, there are too many signs that Pete lives for me to believe that. As someone previously commented, the dormouse from Alice in Wonderland was a very tired mouse based on the "dor" in the word, which means to be drowsy in itself. The Dore Bell was indeed seperate in writing all throughout the game, perhaps it means a bell which awakes you from your slumber? In this case, the nap was a coma. The ending of the game, although it ended with "thee nd" (which might have been simply odd writing for the sake of being so.) did say that he was opening his eyes. That is proof that he did wake, regardless of the boat at the end.

Okay, it seems there are some mild disputes over the meaning of the game. This game is like poetry, however, and the meaning is to be interperated differently depending on the individual. Only the creators of the game know what they want it to mean, there isn't really a wrong nor a write observation of it.

But anyway, this game was AMAZING to play for like the 4th time! Design= 5/5, music=5/5, concept=5/5; the only thing is, I kinda wish it was longer! Great Jorb, Thomas!! Make more games pl0x?

I always thought that Pete was never in danger of dying. I gathered that he was in a coma because his father was abusive and that the bird was his sister trying to lead him back to the surface world. Mama Gomboysa was an enabler to the part of him that wanted to stay in the coma world, not a brain tumor. I always found it interesting how the minor characters that Pete meets play alone. Pete might not be used to playing with friends, especially if his dad is a controlling asshole. Fatty Fat Cakes is the most interesting to me because he essentially depends on violence. Getting hurt is a literal release for him, and that is another trauma-drama aspect of Pete. When Pete wakes up, he's going to need quite a bit of therapy! T___T I've never been so invested in a character lol

Extremely well thought out, with an excellent story line, visuals and animations, as well as slick representation of the "coma" that I noticed as well (read MrHedge64's comment) . The ending was also fantastic! Felt very heartwarming :) 100 out of 5! lol :D

are there any better ways to get through the organ part?
they said to jump and hit the bump ceiling between teh two hanging organs but i hit like a thousand times but it still didn't work :(

amazing everything from the art to story to gameplay itself was amazing one of the most entertaining time ive had forget 5/5 its a solid 10/10

5 minutes of head scratching and i FINALLY get it! the boat looked like a viking longboat...the one they used to put dead nobles in and then set it on fire... His mother couldn't pull the plug on him, so she had to convince him to let go. The big black thing in the sky was just his Id.
