Controls seem to allow for random sticky-keys (cancelled by pressing the key that repeats). For example, character will repeatedly jump until I press up arrow. Not really diggin' the game, but I'm kinda' exhausted at the moment. Maybe later...

when you fall into the basement and the bird says he lied to you or whatever there are a series of
hard to find little black switches about the place which open doors to a boat room where you finally see the door bell and escape your coma yay.. it's beautiful
this game is trully wonderfull but it would be lovely to see a sequal and or an update where you get to see your friends as you wake yp :D

Brilliant. Simply and utterly brilliant. I agree that there should be a section for games like this, although I wouldn't exactly know what to call that section. Games like this have been appearing more and more, and have become increasingly popular, giving them the right to get their own section. Nothing else can trully compare to these games other than themselves like The Company of Myself and The Majesty of Colors. 5/5 and should get its own genre section.

I guess I'm missing the point but you start off searching for your sister with cryptic notes about a 'dore bell' and then just as you think you're getting close to acheiving one of these the game seems to forget about it and starts focusing on the other one? (I've tried to make it spoiler free, sorry if I failed)

I like that the game is sort of short too. A game doesn't need to be long to be both entertaining and meaningful. This game was both of those and more.

That was... just so beautiful. I can't explain why, but that was one of the most enlightening experiences of my life. 5/5, and not just for the game. Kong really does need an "artsy" section for true eye-opening masterpieces like this. Amazing game play, amazing sound and visuals, and a terrifyingly yet amazing plot. You NEED to make more games like this, not just you, wittyhobo, but all of the game developing world.

Ok, I have to agree with all the good reviews. Alot of games try too hard to be 'artsy'. This one succeeds. The Dev should get a highfive for this one.

This is a really nice gme you hve here. I like it becaue it has atmosphere. The story is very minimalist and what could infer from it is that the little bird is pete's sister and wants to pull the plug (him being in a coma and all), that is why everyone wants him dead. Then when the bird asks pete if he remebers the song (D---E---B---A---B) it is his sister playing it in the real world. The at the end his Sister/Birddoes not give up on pete, she says he is opening his eye which means he is coming out the coma and will see his sister again after searching for her.

A lot of games try too hard to be arty and t first I thought this might be one of them, but I urge people to play this game and then think about it. It takes a lot of thinking to finally understand it but I think this truly was art and not just some dark swirls that look cool. Well Done...

What a Brilliant game, really.
I can't explain in words how much joy (and a lot of rest in my mind) this game brings me.
it's so peaceful, i downloaded the Songs @ Newgrounds (link below)
and tried to tab it, well some friends and I got the first piece, but after that we gave up :(
really, best game ever :)

Love this. Very well made, very original. It's very Kytt-like, Kytt being an old game with similar style and focus on non-violent platforming. This game has atmosphere and that atmosphere allows it to tell a story with very few words, and that's always refreshing. Good job.

God.. guys this is what happens, the EVERYTHING in that world wants him dead, and the bird is supposed to lead him to dead but the bird dosn't wants to, and Mrs Gombayasa is a bitch who dosn't wants him to touch the lampost, that is the only way to him open his eyes, he's in a coma, the bird is the good one, the others, just wants him dead, and the people around that world are just things that he saw in his life, and now they are there, randomly, try to recapaticate, the bird lied to him because the bird wanted to save him, the COMA kid (you) was cheated to don't touch the dor bell, and the bird MADE you do it, so yes, the bird is good people, all the others want you dead, remember when the guy fishing said if you answer him no? "Do it, or I kill you" that means one thing, or you try to survive this coma, or you die, think about it.

I don't think he dies in the end. When you ring the bell it makes it sound like his coma has ended. I just felt like saying this to everyone who goes on about how he dies. Besides that point an excellent short story game. Beautiful art work but a little dark in some places so it was hard to know where to go. Other than that excellent.

I get this game is supposed to be a metaphor. Other then that, i get virtually nothing. I figure the end is him dieing, with the bird representing the Freudian urge to death, and Mrs. Gombayasa would be the conflicting urge to survive. However, the gigantic worm, the jump roping girl, the bird's deception, and the hanging children(creepy) all go unexplained. In other words, wtf?

This game was just beautiful, im mind blown, idk what to say right now, just wow, thankyou wittyhobos for uploading this, thankyou

The whole game leaves me to think that this game is going to culminate into a final message, give something, that this 'coma' is for a reason and he needs to find it to escape, there are a lot of dark undertones, saying his dad locked his sister in the basement made me think that his dad must seriously be messed up... okay a bird tells you that... you get there and it says, I lied... what's the point, why are we in the basement? I mean, this game has a lot of potential to deliver a message, but fails to do it in a strong and meaningful way to the player. However I will give it a 4/5 just on sheer level of craftsmanship.
