There we go. All survived with 2200 to spare. 5 anchor points used.
The trick is 1, to triangulate. 2 use bits of ground which don't have anchor points. 3. Build it kind of section by section using lot and lots of parts. When a section/the bridge is complete start testing which parts you can delete.
I did it to the point where I can't delete a single part of my design.

I did it!!! (with $1400 to spare) for people who's bridges won't stay connected you have to use building points from earlier to get it to stay together or it falls apart.

Not impossible...I've built a bridge without cheating
Has a lot of potential, just fix up some of the little bugs, and also, make more levels. Like others have said, include a reset button, and also make it possible to delete the shortest segments

wow bridges need to have ground to sit every bridge has huge things going into water(if it is above water) so no ground = nearly impossible to build a bridge
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you try to recreate it ... but you failed... you're not even close to remaking the original and BETTER pontifex game ...

If you could build in circles it'd be stronger, but if GCSE engineering tought me anything it is that triangles are the strongest shape for building 'cause they is well load bearing :D

Ah, I didn't realize that the green line was the only tangible part, so now I have recreated a bridge and have completed the game! W00t! Awesome game ftw!

Well... I spent some time building my bridge, and they all just walked off of the cliff as though my bridge weren't even there. I think it's a good game, though. Maybe add several scenarios?

Useless adition to the site, I spent a good bit of time contructing a good bridge and the second I start the test all the hinges seperate, what am I missing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is there a way to delete pieces you have already placed? this really needs some more concrete instructions. its really good so far, but it still needs some work.

After being addicted to a similar game on the PC (Bridge Building Game,) I was real happy to see this. However, there is something that just drives me crazy about this game. That of course is, the fact the the beam disappears if you move it out of range. It seems like it should stop growing, stay a certain length, but still be visible. That would make my day

another good bridge game, but i suggest just making this a second level to the first.. and then possibly making more, and adding in some sort of twist?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good, pointless fun. Would definitely make a cool game if you refined it and added some purpose... I didn't even get a YOU WIN or something once I finally got the little guys across the bridge. Still, 5/5 for an awesome bit of mechanics. Hope you develop this into a full game.

The physics don't seem to work. As in: it's far too easy. It's a good start, though. Maybe adding an option to tweak variables during run-time would make it a bit better

I never played the first one so I probably missed out on some game-breaking secret but how the hell do you keep your bridge from collapsing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
sucks
first one is better
add multiple levels
make better fing instructions
make it into a real game
add an ending
3/5 till you make this a decent fing game
good concept
HORRID execution

Not much changed, but some nice improvements. It would be nice to have more money in one of these games and be able to build something terribly extravagant. As it is, only one type of bridge will work, which is disappointing.

Seriously, start a small level and progress into something complex then. If someone is not familiar with this kind of game, such a large level will rather frustrate then motivate.
There is still the bug, when you build a very very small piece, it is impossible to remove it. An undo-button or something like that would be neat.

I had to figure out what this game was supposed to be before I realized that it was horribly made. The instructions were useless.
You also should have multipul materials
.for some reason you decided to put only a week semblance of physics into the game mechanic. anchor points seem to think you should make a suspention bridge, an aquaduct, and a rope ladder at the same time rather than using a practical method.
This game sucks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you need to add an ending...
and allow to use cables, like in pontifex... =P
not bad for a flash version of pontifex...

I honestly preferred the earlier installment despite the easier level because there were more things crossing and somehow, the engine displayed stress better rather than this one where the stress levels stay the same as soon as all of them are on the bridge.
