Apocalypse strategy -
Start by building 5 Ion Cannon on top row with bunker behind each one.
Upgrade 3 Ion Cannon to level 2.
Research Economics and build one Economic center.
Upgrade 1 Ion Cannon to level 3.
Upgrade Economic Center to level 2.
Alternate between upgrading the remaining Ion Cannons to level 3 and building and upgrading another Economic center.
When you have 3 level 3 Ion Cannon research Nuclear and alternate between building missile complex and economic centers. (Always upgrade fully before starting a new building).
When you have 4 or 5 fully upgraded missile complexes you should have a decent enough income to research missile defense and planet shield.
Upgrade everything to max.
Sell off the economic centers and build more defenses.
Tip: Always have a bunker next to (not diagonally) your defensive buildings to give full protection to your population.

The only level too short is Easy. On Normal and Hard I found myself sitting with nothing to do, waiting for the end. One of the times on Hard, I even had time to save up enough money to replace all my economics centers with missle silos...

If you have defeated Apocalypse level, please post how you did it. I have played this level about 20 times, and the random factor makes it impossible to figure out what will work. I have done the EXACT same set up in the same order, and it varies from dying in 5 minutes to dying in 30.
Developer, please remove the "fade away" aspect of the tower rows, as it does nothing but annoy the heck out of people. And, VERY small nitpick, you have Apocalypse level at the start menu with a different color background than the other three levels. You should make it the same color.
Four stars out of Five from me, for excellent graphics and game play, with a problem of too short for the first three levels, and too inconsistent in Apocalypse level.

Reseach nuclear fision. Build a missile complex. Update it once. Build second missile and update once. Build third missile and update once. Research economics. Start building economics building and bunkers. If you do it right, you don't loose.

Good game, but it's got a serious gameplay issue.
Because your economy and your "hitpoints" are directly connected, the game gets too easy if you're doing good and impossible to salvage if things start to go bad.

Tips to hard level: start building a ion cannon (1st row, 3rd from left to right). Update it once. Build second ion cannon (1st row, 3rd from right). Update this new cannon. Update both cannons a second time. Research

once you get under 200M ppl, it is impossible to recover some population even at normal level, because it grows too slowly.hard lvl is impossible :D

hard was easy once you get rockets (skip robotics and go straight for the missiles, sell your turrents right before they die). Trying apocalyse now.

God DAMN. Seriously. I keep losing due with most of my guns intact... even with scads of bunkers, that one massive wave keeps coming on hard that just tears apart my population... from over 1B down to 0 almost instantly. How can you possibly defend against that?

Great presentation, I was impress with how little it lagged with all the particles. Glad to hear you're hard at work on the API ^___^ (5/5)

Fun. Easy was easy. Medium was still pretty easy. Hard is very hard! I just can't seem to keep my population up. Every time I manage to do one thing, it's at the expense of everything else. I guess I can't figure out this "easy strategy" everyone else is talking about.

The AI should be adjusted to go after the smaller ships first, nothing like having a solid defense wasted on 1 big ship while 15 small ones just own you...

Pretty boring. Its too expensive to upgrade your "turrets" and it's not worth it when you do. Too much of a sit back and watch game.

easy ends just when it gets good, and the difficulty jumps after that are too great. could use some improvements like gaining experience for your buildings, and perhaps a way to tell your defenses to target a particular ship. overall a really good game though.

Really well made game, and fun, though it does need to be longer. And to drega, making money's not that hard, just fill up most of the bottom row with economic centers, and the money comes pouring in.

Fun stuff. Like other defense games, the key seems to be to build less and upgrade more. Now let's follow these muthas back from where they came from and return the favor :)

5/5, great game imho.
It's hard until you get the right starting strategy down, when it becomes ridiculously easy (haven't tried apocalypse yet, beat hard though).
Would love to see an improved sequel though.

Finally beat hard mode. The strategy that worked for me was to build one ion cannon (in a square just off center) and immediately upgrade it. I built two more ion cannons in the corners of the top row and then built 3 bunkers on the top row so that every square on the top row had full protection. I then researched economy and focused on ion cannons until I had 4 level 2 cannons. Don't rush into research, defending your population is the best money making tactic. That means upgraded ion cannons and upgraded bunkers at first.

Following numerous requests, I've added a music mute button and a restart button. Also added code that should enable Badges as soon as I get a chance to figure out the API.

A tough game, and a good twist on defense games - Wishlist things for me would be a summary of your income, having structures not fade when you're not moused over them, a visual representation of turret range, perhaps some control over population - telling them to evacuate part of the planet, and orbital structures. Maybe even a small defensive fleet. Good music and presentation.

Almost good. Needs options, control, flexibility with the game modes and making money is far too difficult. Great concept and ship design though.

I've been able to beat normal, and I think I almost beat hard, where several of the biggest ships come out. The game is very good, although the way you start out in hard mode seems to call for a very particular build. If anyone wants to know how I did it they can e-mail me at jinmaster@hotmail.com

Add a restart or a quit button, after 10 min in esay, it's time to go through normal....reload the game?? need a quit button
