On my first try I left 1 enemy behind in the first galaxy and moved on to the second, where I died. After that I loaded my save game, but couldn't complete any mission nor did I have an objective marker.

LLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE I've been stuck on the prometheus mission for a good half hour. I've flown everywhere and blown up every damn thing I could find, including going out to that distant transponder (twice). Flying around randomly in empty space searching for scouts does not a fun game make. Other than that, it's really solid. I like the controls and the feel of gameplay. 4/5 because of this damn mission. LOL

Stupid game - I play to the Prometheus mission and can't complete it because there's an enemy ship somewhere I can't see that needs destroying, so I restart, complete the game and there's no save point after the final boss, so I can't use the Missile Fabricator to clear out any enemies I missed. Way to end a game...

bah, buggy, i cannot finsih eye of the storm and recieve the superior weapon..
although i completely wiped out the system containing that wepaon.. therefore i am not allowed to win the game, even though i wiped out everything there too, with my old weapon..

for those who think the ship moves too slow, use the damn thrusters for extra speed. then use the jumpdrive later on. the warp upgrade helps A LOT to allow for much more and further jumps.

loved the concept of this game. i thought the controls were fine. the store system has some bugs. for example i randomed 2 missle ramjets and one of them got stuck in my installed inventory list without it being installed. i can't seem to sell it now either. the game could use a bit better navigation in terms of helping the player figure out which warp portal to use to continue their mission. also the game ends too adruptly, at least let me fly back to base and play some sort of sandbox mode after killing the last boss.

Guys (and gals), the Prometheus doesn't need to follow you home, just return home without it and it's fine. I'd like to be able to continue playing once the game is over. Good thing to do is get the recharge missiles before killing the boss, makes it a lot easier - just destroy the missile part of the boss, then grab the purple thing. 4/5 (-1 for not being able to continue).

There was a problem starting the game, possibly corrupt XML. An automated bug submission has been generated, but in case it is not delivered, please copy the text from the exception and submit a bug report.

to those who are stuck with the prometheus, all you have to do is destroy every ennemy in the area.
Cool game, it's a shame it is too short

And then, to cap it all off, the final insult, it NEVER actually completes the last mission? In fact, the last 2 missions say "Complete: No"

OK, i got the ability to regen Missles AFTER beating the final boss? WTF? And then you just float around in space, forever? No actual end, no way back to base, no replayable levels? I'm dropping my 5 down to a 4, maybe lower. A game should be like a woman: It should have a tight end.

Got a little into this thinking it was cool at first. Now that I've played a while I'm not too impressed. You can't buy missles and you cant fire your turret when your reactor runs out, even if your turret meter is full. To top it off the ships movement is too slow and unresponsive to employ any real strategy. Turbo becomes a necessity rather than a tool which handi-caps you too much to have any fun. You get the point.

Cant dodoge enemy fire? learn how to actually play a space game before saying something like that....ever try not just flying into enemies? good game, needs some tweaks but good.

where in the hell is the warpgate to the secret base in the mission "Eye of the storm"? I'm in alpha crucis, can't find that damned gate..

Some additional suggestions:
Upgrades to ship create noticable changes in the hull
Upgrades to the shield change shield color
Damage to shield lowers shield opacity so that the player does not have to divert his eyes from the enemies to look at his gauges
Allow the player to create waypoints by clicking on their minimap. After creating a waypoint a dashed green line should extend from the ship in a straight line to the point marked. Once the target is within site the line should disappear.
Allow the player to upgrade the ships thrusters beyond the Turbo Thruster.
Either allow the player to purchase strafing thusters (thrusters which push the ship side-to-side) or have them from the start of the game. Maneuverability is lacking.
I'm not sure if purchasing entirely new ships would be a good idea. I don't want to invest in a whole bunch of upgrades just to find out that there's all of a sudden a new ship available.

great to see a browser game like DarkOrbit scales down to this, but the path back to the base is a bit boring...for those complaining about the control: in space, there is hardly any forces to slow you down

The gameplay was very nicely done. I enjoyed exploring each sector searching for artifacts to sell or upgrades that I perhaps couldn't find in the Starbase shop. However, I didn't like that I could only kill enemies once. I would have liked to clean out a sector and then return later to find NEW enemies in DIFFERENT locations. This would have enabled players to kill enemies to train/gather supplies in order to prepare themselves. The controls were intuitive, however using T to thrust threw me off for a bit. I suggest adding the option for players to set their own controls. Having multiple turret weapons would have been fun. Players could use Q and E by default to switch between them. The ending was very unsatisfying and should have given the player the option to return to Alpha Draconis and upgrade their new MISSILE FABRICATOR.
4/5 I really liked it but it needs more more more.

not perfect, but still a great game. It has the potential to become the greatest game ever... you need to make it bigger, add a map and waypoint system, the possibility to buy new ships, have lots of space stations everywhere and possibly, make it multiplayer...
But great game anyway !!!
