Pretty good, I predicted the 'oh noes, she's actually against us' twist, and was going to slam you for it, but the final twist was both logical and awesome. Game play itself got a bit repetitive, and it was difficult to tell when my lasers, etc. were firing with all the other weapons filling the screen. Also, the light cruiser onwards could do with being weaker, most levels I just spammed the most powerful unit I had and replaced them if they died. 3.5/5

Eh... There are a few typos in some of the tutorials... "upgrad" and forgetting a 'd' in "used", "tor" instead of "to"...

@astoim you say shield not regen is not a bug, well i see ur point on the MAIN station. In fact the "use" of shield on enemy ships is to be absorbed by you. fine. But as it were, there doesn't appear to be a difference in shield and hp for ur sub-ships. I believe that is a lapse in design if intended and a bug if not. nice enough game and story. but a bit too ez. in the LAST lvl, i just spammed 6xzues and sit back. that's meh~ i would like someway to use up all my money too, both upgrade and combat ones.

As far as both twists were fairly obvious to me, I'm still glad someone actually tried to make a decent storyline. It could be told better, but still - very good game with solid gameplay.

The game went a bit "blah" after I got the orion light cruiser, since I don't have to even lift my finger to destroy the bad guys. Maybe after a few levels this will change, I hope so.
Also, the music is a bit too starwarsy. I think something basic like drum n' bass would have been more fit for the game. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. It's a neat game. 7/10

Pressing retreat pauses the game, but your ships still continue to be manufactured.
So you can hit all the numbers to start building your ships, then pause using the retreat button, wait a little bit, hit cancel and your ships will already be ready to use.

Typos: "Resources are use to repair and upgrad your space station" "use" should be "used" and "upgrad" should be "upgrade".
Other than that so far a great game, although I haven't played it much.

Very nice ending :) 5/5
Bit too easy though, and would make it a bit more difficult if no funds were added while retreating, or atleast less.

soldier: sir we just conquered this system should we head to the next one
captain: not yet first we need to destroy all the ships we have then chuck all the resources out except for 120
soldier: why don't we just keep all the ships so we dont have to remake them
captain: DONT QUESTION ME

Don't blindly follow fishslinger's advice.
You need a few options:
Only pulse-gun armed ships have targeted the heavy missiles.
Cloaked ships will only be fired on by bomb-armed ships until the cloak is gone.
As a result, the Destroyer (2) and Battleship (5) classes aren't the best pure forces, they need other classes mixing with them.

Simple, but fun and nice job on the story. The one part I disliked was having to make my initial weapon choice and its upgrade with little information to base a decision on.

I would enjoy the option to not upgrade your main weapon, or to go back and change with the previous weapon, as I found my Rail Gun far superior to the Gatling. By the time my Gatling rounds reached the target, my other ships had already destroyed it and I was of little help unless they were distracted by a missile.

if the program from the beginning is the real virus, i'm gonna be pissed, if not, then let it be said that the developer managed to avoid an easily forseeable and laughable attempt at plot. now, to see for myself

WOW, GREAT! thanks to this ai we now have an incredibly strong ship, lots of uninhabited planets, a defeated army (yes, 1 ship isnt an army), many, many dead people and a giant high-tech alien fleet as enemy... great starting point for an epic showdown-sequel between the human ship and the aliens, but worse for the further existence of humanity.

If you liked the story, find all of the hidden data pads in Halo Reach. They tell essentially the same tale, but with the depth that a multi-million dollar game can afford. That said, this game was enjoyable despite the issues mentioned by other commenters.

Pretty interesting twist at the end, and it actually countered the doubts in my head about the quality of the story fairly nicely; wrapping up all the loose ends I was thinking were just messed up details. The gameplay is really boring, though. I wish there would be a game where you had to actually make CHOICES about your upgrades.

Agreed, there needs to be some consequences to losing or retreating, its a big bug. Also, the green bar has a tendencey to start near the end, so I don't get an accurate feel for when it will actually finish.

last level seems to have glitched i have 6 Zeus dreadnaughts and over 2500 resources and bar has been completely green almost since i started

awesome game, but has a big glitch, just click on "retreat" right before battle starts and you gain upgrade points for nothing. with heavy exploiting of that glitch its possible to max everything before going into any battle.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is it a glitch that you get more resources for retreating from battle than you get for completing it? And why can't you keep the excess resources gained in battle?

Does no one else here seem to realize that the Matriarch intentionally made it an easy battle so the humanity would win easily but still produce improved technology?
If it had been to difficult, humanity would've been wiped out. If there's a second game, then it will become hellish to win because its not a planned loss anymore.
Common sense people.

There are quite a few grammatical errors and typos in the game's text. There's a double "was" when the Negative G Field is awarded, as an example. It'd be worth doing a copyedit pass so the text matches the effort put into the rest of the game.
